    Happy Belated Bazarov!
I'm weary with right-angles, abbreviated daylight,
Waiting for a winter to be done.
Why do I still see you in every mirrored window,
In all that I could never overcome?

    Happy birthday, bazarov.

I almost did not post because of your remarkable movie line in the games section ("You stupid woman!"). But then I thought I couldn't be meant there so 'Happy birthday' all the same!

*Classic*Charm*, barbara0207 - thank you very much. Oh, Janine; I didn't get nothing like that - people obviously think I have it too much already.

1 - How did you come about this site and what makes you keep coming back?

I searched for etexts or online books to check some passages and quotes, I came here, saw forum, saw some really interesting opinions and decided to try, everyone was

friendly...I remember Shakira send me book I looked for ages the next day; I was stunned! So I started to discuss, share ideas and opinions and I stayed, discovered many new

great books and writers, and many smart members with whom I had some really interesting conversations. The fact is, readers have totally different perception of some

things and I like that so I like to hear their opinion. So I come here quite often.

2 - Have you visited other countries than your own and what did you like about it or not like?

Germany - (+)incredibly organized and clean
(-) too organized, too many nations
Bosnia and Herzegovina - beautiful, wild, and so wild that you question yourself how is it functioning.
Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Checzh Republic - too short to notice, but Prag is beautiful and they have many good beers.

3 - What are your favorite hobbies ?

Reading, football and other sports ( if my friends liked to play football more, who knows would I ever read that much), music, thinking (useless, I know )

4 - Do you have any pets?

Nope. Honestly, I don't won't to take care for animals.

5 - What makes you happy?

When I see good in people and that very rare, unfortunately.

    6. How can you get away with being online at work?

I am a student so I don't have those problems; at least not yet. But I am not freak, I can always wait to come home and visit forum. Some people should visit doctor, today being online becomes addictness

    7. What is mankind's biggest achievement, and its greatest downfall?

Biggest achievement would probably be Guttenberg's machine
The greatest downfall would definitely be war. Only fools and idiots can't make a solution without numerous innocent victims, even when confrontation is justifiable; if it can be.

Unfortunately, world is filled with idiots.

    8. If you had a long day of hard work ahead of you what music would you be playing on your mp3, while working?

Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, some classics or sounds of nature. Definitely something where music is slow and nice.

    9. If you could take one book, music album and one video with you to a desert island, what would they be?

Probably Bible (never gets boring), about music I don't know; it could be really everything - depends on the mood. Movie - The Godfather I.

    10. Which actress should play you in a movie based on your life?

Robert De Niro - he is only capable for playing such a hard role

    11. What makes you smile? (Activities, people, events, hobbies, projects, etc.)

I like smart and intelligent humor, based on good and funny ideas, and not on rude and evil base, so it's rare...But playing cards, making fun with my friends, sport,

important victory of my favorite team, good grade on university or something like that always make me smile.

    12. What were your favorite things to do the past? What about now?
I lived like Malcolm and his brothers so it was always very fun for us. Any kind of physical activities were my way of spending days. Now? Same! But, I am older so it has to

be different; so I read, hang out with my friends, play sports, listen music or study.

    13. What activities make you lose track of time?

Mostly, great and interesting conversation, especially with someone I like very very much but I did not see for a long long time. Two weeks ago I had a 7 hours conversation with friend of mine from high school.

    14. What makes you feel great about yourself?

    Helping others.

    15. Who inspires you most? (Anyone you know or not. Family, friends, authors, artists, leaders, etc.) Which qualities inspire you, in each person?

I can't say I am inspired with someone, but I really admire Dostoevsky, my mother and Karol Wojtyla (Pope Johan Paulus II, for those who don't know). Dostoevsky is the greatest writer ever for me, his ideas and viewings are incredible, his life and escape from death are unique. My mom raised 7 children alone, nothing else is necessarily to add. Karol Wojtyla was so great that even Fidel Castro wared suit when he was visiting him. The greatest men ever lived. His love for all humans, dialog with Muslims, Orthodox and every other religions, act of forgiving to Ali Agca and visiting him in jail...he was probably the first and the last man who was adored by absolutely every normal men on Earth.

    16. What are you naturally good at? (Skills, abilities, gifts etc.)

I am good with numbers, have good physical skills, and they say I am very intelligent. Other things came with way of life, I guess.

    17. What do people typically ask you for help in?

Math, taking closets and beds, and many like to ask for my advice about ''hypothetical'' things. Of course, there are no such things but I don't comment it. The best question was:''Was there anywhere in your books described what to do when....?'' I started to laugh and friend got angry. I think I can separate feelings from ratio, so I say what I really think it would be the best and not what would they like to her and people respect that, after some time.

    18. If you had to teach something, what would you teach?

History or literature; I had some plans about that but I gave up, luckily.

    19. What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?

Not visiting Russia and not finishing university. But I doubt something like that is possible.

    Snickers, t-shirt and tracksuit.

    Black t-shirt and underwear.

    28. First novel you remember reading on your own?

Šegrt Hlapić - the most popular Croatian book for kids; about little kid who escapes from his step parents and seeks his destiny. Sounds like Hollywood blockbuster but it's not.

    29. Favorite TV shows?

Only fools and horses(incredibly funny), Dr House( he reminds me sometimes on me - that's bad probably), first season of Prison Break, Brigada ( about Russian mafia), Red Dwarf an Mr Bean.

    30. Which LitNet members would you like to meet in person if you could?

Happy (belated) birthday greetings to you baz! Great to read the interview and get to know you more.

And thanks again for all the suggestions for additions to the site you've sent me over the years, and contributions you've made to the George Orwell forum. Your enthusiasm for him and Russian writers in general has added a *lot* to the site discussions

What a great interview Baz! I didn't realize we had so much in common: engineering, Dire Straits (Brother In Arms ), beer belly.

    This was touching:
My mom raised 7 children alone, nothing else is necessarily to add.
Enough said. She must be a fine lady.

Best of luck in your engineering studies.

What a great interview... I'm a Pink Floyd nut, btw.
Noću, u intimnom, poluglasnom razgovoru sa samim sobom, nikako ne mogu zapravo logički opravdati zašto se u posljednje vrijeme toliko uzrujavam zbog ljudske gluposti.
