Hi, I'm new to this site, and sort of new to the whole world of forums. But I thought this could be a cool place to maybe meet some people and also learn a few new things.
I am a moderate reader, who loves the Harry Potter books, and is quite fond of the 'His Dark Materials" books as well. I also have this weird attraction to Shakespeare. I never really liked it back in high school. But ever since I finished I've been trying to find ways to get Shakespeare in my life. So I guess that's the main reason why I'm here, to learn more about the great Bard and also learn how to read the plays on my own.
Anyways, I look forward to discussing with all of you at some point.

I am actually on a mission. I recently came across some old books and I am interested in selling or giving them away. After a search on ebay, I realized that the books may not be worth much.
I am now looking at giving them away. Instead of bothering with ebay, and I may use a rather different approach, raffling them away for free on eraffle.com.
Yet, I want to be sure I am not iving away something valuable. I will check this site for guidance. I have a 1904 copy of The Bobbsey Twins. Is it worth selling. I think not.

Hi... I am new, duh, and just had a technical question... I got here because I want a place to post and get feedback on my short stories. I found the short story board, but my stuff is longer than most of the posts there... about 5,000 words. Is there a place besides the forum where I should post something I've written?
