Hello. I am not sure if people would go as far to read on the 197th page, haha, but here I am. To introduce myself.

My name is Atikah. Atikah Wahid. Just call me Atikah.

I've just started my major in English Literature and Linguistic in my good ol' country, Malaysia. I haven't started on the heavy stuff though. Just introductory subjects. But I really love to read. Hence, here I am!

    Yey. Awesome.

    Hi!

    I'm a newbie!

My username was meant to be Lulubelle, but my E key decided to fail me for a minute, and I didn't check it... therefore, I will be a bell

Anyways, my real name is Naomi and I'm 16 going on 17

I have a pretty keen interest in Scottish Literature in particular, but I read just about anything!
Books alone are liberal and free. They give to all who ask. They emancipate all who serve them faithfully.

If he loved you with all the power of his soul for a whole lifetime, he couldn't love you as much as I do in a single day. - Heathcliff

If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger. - Wuthering Heights; Emily Brontë

Hello. I´m newcomer there. I had been learning English and I found this forum. I´m not a native English. So, I will not respond so excellent. Excuse me for my time-to-time mistakes and misspelling. I hope, that page make my experiences with literature more confident. I like reading and writing too.

    Have a nice day.

Hello! I just found this forum, and it seems to be really interesting. A great possibility to discuss what I am reading and have read. I mean, people read different stuff, so with my friends I can't really discuss most of what I'm reading...

Short introduction: I am 22 years old, come from Norway and study Industrial Mathematics. I get the feeling that most of the people here are somehow studying languages or literature, so I guess I will be the guy asking the stupid questions

Brand new member here! I've been looking for a place to discuss literature for a while. I'm a 21 year old English major in Georgia, USA and have a great zest and verve for reading.

Hello, I'm Leo or you may call me Leo.
I've often imagined a blueprint of a fascinating literature base, filled with those who shine kindness towards literature. Well, it seems that such a place does indeed exist.
I'm from Virginia, Lynchburg specifically, and it has a tendency to lean towards dullness, but is working for me at the moment.
I love reading, writing, and having conversations with others about literature.
I'm looking forward to meeting some decent people, and sharing some interests. So, feel free to message me.

    Leo

Hi, I'm new to this site, and sort of new to the whole world of forums. But I thought this could be a cool place to maybe meet some people and also learn a few new things.
I am a moderate reader, who loves the Harry Potter books, and is quite fond of the 'His Dark Materials" books as well. I also have this weird attraction to Shakespeare. I never really liked it back in high school. But ever since I finished I've been trying to find ways to get Shakespeare in my life. So I guess that's the main reason why I'm here, to learn more about the great Bard and also learn how to read the plays on my own.
Anyways, I look forward to discussing with all of you at some point.
    Buh-bye

    Hello All

I came across this site when conducting a search. What a pleasant surprise. My compliments.

I am actually on a mission. I recently came across some old books and I am interested in selling or giving them away. After a search on ebay, I realized that the books may not be worth much.

I am now looking at giving them away. Instead of bothering with ebay, and I may use a rather different approach, raffling them away for free on eraffle.com.

Yet, I want to be sure I am not iving away something valuable. I will check this site for guidance. I have a 1904 copy of The Bobbsey Twins. Is it worth selling. I think not.

    Look forward to any guidance.

Welcome aboard, willysmall. Hope other forum members will help.
The source of any bad writing is the desire to be something more than a person of sense--the straining to be thought a genius. If people would say what they have to say in plain terms, how much eloquent they would be.

Hi... I am new, duh, and just had a technical question... I got here because I want a place to post and get feedback on my short stories. I found the short story board, but my stuff is longer than most of the posts there... about 5,000 words. Is there a place besides the forum where I should post something I've written? Or is it okay to just have a really long post? Thanks so much,

    Caitlin
