The Virgin Spring - 4.5/5
Blood Diamond -- 10/10
Kung Fu Panda - great animation, good family stuff, not as humorous as other animations but I'd give it 4/5.
Looking forward to the batman movie. Christian Bale is the best.

I have actually have never seen "Hennesey". I know it but I have never seen it. I was happy to see that they have finally started to put "Father Knows Best" on DVD.
Across the Universe
2/10
Maybe a "2". I should give it less. I will give it some sort of grade, though, because of the guy that starred in it. He was the only good thing about the movie. I absolutely HATED this movie!! I am a die hard Beatles fan. I was looking forward to this movie, but I was still hestitant because of the director, Julie Taymor. She is the woman who completely destroyed musical theater, in my opinion, with the hideous stage version of "The Lion King". There were a couple of "inside" moments in there. These were the moments that a Beatles fan would catch onto. Other than that, this had to be one of the worst movies that I have ever seen. It was boring and dull and monotonous. The only one that was any good vocally, and acting wise, was the star, Jim Sturgess. This is the first movie that I have disliked this much in a long time. I don't know what I expected from it. Maybe being such a big Beatles fanatic I thought that the music would at least make this film interesting. Not even the music was worth the price of a movie ticket. Thank Goodness I rented this movie rather than paid the full price of a ticket.
Room With the View - 7/10
I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew.

Funny for the wrong reasons.

Pensive, Hope all is well with you; I have missed you.
I loved "Room with a View" but I did have some qualms with part of it. I liked the book better; have you read it? I will email you today, if I have the time left. My computer died and I am using the libraries; I am sure you know that by now. I may have to delay the email until Monday - these computers at, my public library, close at 5PM today. You know me - way to early for my computer usage...really crimps my style![]()
Mr. Vandemar, Good rating. I love this film and bought it a number of months back, for my own collection - hadn't seen it in years - wonderful!
Miss Tenderness, I love this film as well.....
"The Sea Inside" .
It was very deep and thoughtful and the acting was first-rate. Terrific
Hi LadyWentworth, I don't know anyone else has seen this film. I love this film and have watched it a number of times now. I think Pacino's acting of Richard III is marvelous. He fit the role very well; only wish I could see the whole play, without the interuptions, but the entire film is a learning experience and so entertaining. Did you find it on DVD? I had to settle for VHS, but I still love it so I am fortunate to have found it. I have the play on CD set with KB playing Richard - also wonderful! When I get a new computer I can send you a copy (an pray it gets to your doorstep this time).

Little one, Fate might miscarry.
Little one, why do you tarry?
Little one, When May I marry you?
My little one.
After all these years, I finally saw it. It was on TV the other night. I thought they were all pretty good, but Pacino really did stand out in there. As he really should considering he IS Richard!I thought it was a very good film. My only major problem was the choice of Winona Ryder. That just seemed odd. Don't even get me started on the delivery of her lines!
Actually, it is on DVD. I only know this because as soon as I see a movie I have to then rate it on Netflix.
Kenneth as Richard? That is interesting. I honestly cannot picture him as Richard (even if it is just listening to his voice performance). Naturally he is good, though, right?

"Charlie Wilson's War." I liked it. I saw a thing on the History Channel later that talked about what really happened. The movie seems to have followed actual events fairly closely. He tried to do a good thing. 8/10

Hannibal - it was on tv when I was in there, talking to my mum. Well... I watched most of it, when I wasn't hiding or muting the sound. Absolutely wonderfully horrid. Great film, which is why its so bad! I wanted to stop watching but I couldn't!!
9.5/10 simply because it was so... icky... but so well done
