No worries. I have pencilled it in my diary:

"July 31:: PM, email, text, phone Papaya until she votes in Japan poll!"

Dont forget to keep mentioning Norwegian wood in every sentance! (especially seeing as we are the only ones who have voted for it!)

Well I really know absolutely nothing about any of the nominations or authors so I think I'll sit this vote out... I'm intrigued by them all really.

Can't give you that, but love your tagline this week Sche! I am the big sis in my clan. My father tagged me with *nanny* back in the day and it stuck.

The old one was the mouth of a lamprey. (I am perverse ) I switched to Sophia Loren for a bit, to honor Hollywood's glamourization of Italians, Italian-American culture...zzz

Well, I've conceded and gone for Kafka on the Shore. I've read it before but I'm thinking I'd definitely like to read it again, though it isn't my favourite (but it's better than Norweigian Wood ). Can't let the Mishima book win out. I watched a programme about Murakami a couple of weeks go, and Mishima's militarism was what Murakami's writing was very much against, pushing for a more liberal approach in Japan. Actually, Murakami is fascinating, and a pretty d*** good writer too! Interesting article here for anyone who's interested : http://books.guardian.co.uk/departme...957520,00.html
