And God Created Woman 3.5/4.0 - wow, i'm a B.B. fan now. the movie's nice, taking advantage of the widescreen.
Under the Volcano 3.0/4.0 - John Huston's adaptation. they made it as simple as possible. i'd do it otherwise. acting's fantastic though.

"Around the World with Orson Welles" -- unusual; unless you like to observe ordinary interviewing of ordinary people, a sort of creative documentary, you won't find much here. You may be bored out of your gourd. But you get OW's charm and genuine interest in average folks. If you don't need spectacle in films, but can appreciate detailed behavior and low-keyed conversation, you'll find something here if you have patience. You'll learn about bull fighting and test your conscience about that practice; count me out from attending.

Must rent his "F for Fake" which once saw and liked very much.

Drillbit Taylor. 9/10, I thought it was really good. I would change minor things but it I enjoyed it a lot. I probably wouldn't have watched it though had someone else not picked it out. Glad I did.

"Feast of Love" with Greg Kinnear and Morgan Freeman, 9/10. It's about our search for love, not a new theme, certainly, but it was sweetly and movingly acted, and one cares about the characters.

"Gone, Baby, Gone," 9/10. Wow. Beautifully acted, well-directed, thought-provoking.

I saw "Get Smart" over the weekend. While it wasn't the best, there were a few parts that cracked me up. At one point I was taking a drink of water when something funny happened on screen and I sprayed it everywhere, drenching my boyfriend and myself. He laughed. *blush*

Anyhow, I'd say 8/10.

I just saw Sense and Sensibility 1995 version. It was a calm and serene movie... I liked it much.

I watched Phantom of the Opera last night for like the millionth time!!! It is possibly the best movie that i have ever seen!!! I saw it on broadway, and it was even better then the movie!

I'm Not There

Weird. Not sure I liked it, I almost turned it off a couple of times. I guess it captures Dylan's character but if you know something about the man you're not going to be surprised by anything that happens, maybe slightly amused by a few allusions. It's well filmed and acted.

"In the Realms of the Unreal" 10/10
This was one of the most interesting and unique documentaries I've seen in quite a while. It tells the story of Henry Darger, a reclusive janitor who wrote a 15,000 page fantasy novel, a 6,000 page novel about a tornado, an autobiography, and who created hundreds of paintings. No one knew about his double life until his apartment was being cleared out after his death. The documentary lets his writings and paintings do most of the narration, shifting from his autobiography to scenes from his epic novel "The Story of the Vivian Girls".

The Long, Hot Summer

OMG, Paul Newman was unbelievably FINE. He had the most perfect body. And even past the Paul-drooling, the film was fantastic. I want to live in the country in the South.

Watched this movie couple of weeks ago (it was on TV on one of those insomniac nights) and loved it. Unfortunately, I missed the beginning. Would like to watch it again sometime.
