    Honestly, I don't get marsupials. I mean they've had millions of years to evolve already, and this is the best they can do. I say grow a placenta or get out.

    At least we've been upward tending as a species. The platapus really hasn't developed much new in last hundred-thousand years. It's cool that they have venom, but, no, that's not enough to make up for the duck-bill.

    That's not to say that humans are the model. We've had our moments, I'll admit. Tools, language, these are great and everything, but who are we kidding? We're not the best. I think if I had to pick a model I would say the Cephalopods. There's no question about it. Look at the Giant Octopus. It can do all the usual awesome Octopus things, plus it can crawl on land. Clearly, they're the model.
