What's on Your OWN "Bucket List"?

The Bucket List, a new movie starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, has been getting really lousy reviews, but the premise perhaps is intriguing:

What are the things you really want to do before you leave this world (i.e.) "kick the bucket"?

Don't worry if your wishes are impractical or expensive, what's on your own bucket list?

It's nice to see a familiar face here, Aunty, as I try to jack up my post count so I can compete with you in future story competitions. I apparently need 100 and I'm told this is a good place to increase my count.

I have been married once, had four children, and then divorced once. I have travelled extensively over the world, both with the U.S. Navy and on my own. I now have seven grandchildren. I still enjoy my work, and I'm nearing retirement age at which time I'll probably cut back to part-time work.

My 'bucket list' is a completely blank sheet, and will remain so. I'm very happy with exactly the way everything has turned out.

If I could have made a bucket list when I was 18 years old, and had perfect foresight, I would have written my own life story exactly as it eventually evolved.

I hope I can say that when I get close to retirement!

I want to live in Ireland for at least a year before I kick my bucket. Preferrably a very small cottage with my own milking cow.

Find some really evil partner and together we don't let other people do whatever they want to do before leaving this world.

    *edit to add*

Would love to 'own' such a pleasure.

Fabulous thought for a thread Aunty. It's better than that silly thread on whether our pets are prisoners in our houses.

For me, I would love to write a novel. I wish could, even if a publisher never picked it up. I would publish it at my expense if I could afford it. Perhaps when I retire and have more time.

Speak for yourself!...I think that Pet thread was wonderful, enjoyable and challenging ;-)

But regarding this thread - Live life for God's sakes...don't worry about death...it happens to everyone

And whether you seen Monsa Lisa or Eiffle Tower before you pop it makes no blind bit of difference

    Before I die,

I would need to go to the US.
Also, even though it might not be a good idea, I would somehow need to see Chris and talk to him.

Well, my list is ridiculously long, on my wall I have a map of the world with tacks over every place in the world I want to go........I ran out of tacks a few times and need to buy more so if that gives you an idea.
Some of the main places I want to go are Dresden and Arnsdorf in Germany where my grandparents are from, Odessa in the Ukraine, I want to visit Edinburgh for Hogmanay (I might at the end of this year), Boston (specifically Fenway, for obvious reasons), Pier 21 in Halifax, and a ton of others.
Of course on top of all the places are certain activities as well,
-I want to go skydiving! My dad says he'll go with me so I gotta work that out.
-I have several tatoos each representing a part of my heritage I wish to get but I want to get them all in the countries they represent so that means, I need to go to Scotland, Ukraine, Germany and France to get them all .
-I want to visit every continent with 2 down so far.
-I want to learn as many languages as my brain can manage to hold.
-I want to fall madly in love and get married and have 5 kids .
Oh, theres so much to do and see in life I don't know how anybody can't have a list a mile long.

Of course I am rather close to completing some things on my list, in July I'll be in Pamplona to attend the fiesta of San Fermin , I'm currently attending film school, until April at which point I will be in a state of perpetual travel for as long as I can possibly stand it for. All parts of my list .

They have their worries, they’re counting the miles, they’re thinking about where to sleep tonight, how much money for gas, the weather, how they’ll get there—and all the time they’ll get there anyway, you see.

    a drop in the bucket

Like many I aspire to write a book; I just need to come up with a plot/premise/thesis/idea.

My bucket list is not that long so I guess I can say my life is pretty good. For me,I would say the following:
*Rent a villa somewhere in Italy(maybe Tuscany) and live there for at least a year
*Do volunteer work at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah - has anyone else ever heard of this place ?
    * See my husband get something published
*Raise a family and live long enough to see them get married

    -Experience something supernatural.
    -Visit Europe.

Read every Shakespearian work(I'm not tooo far off, I guess. :-/)
    and...Save the world!
I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

Go to the San Diego Comic-Con in full Green Arrow regalia.

I'll have to get back to you on the others.
