Here is a portrait of myself that I have drawn some time ago.

This portrait of yourself (a very good likeness) presents one with a deep challenge to interpret the enigma of the seemingly expressionless face...

i don't think it looks expressionless.. a bit guarded or sad perhaps... "still waters run deep" comes to mind oh , you said seemingly expressionless.

hehehe Pen! I'm just waiting for monty python to pop out and go "And now for something completely different!"

Sweets that halloween poster is really cool.

Sleepy, that painting of nicks has me all over the place. It makes me think of rock art from the paeleolithic period- I also keep thinking of the Tain Bo Cuailnge because of the bull, the red of the paint making me think of the war that the bull causes. I Think is one of my favs in this thread.

I did these a long time ago.

This is a photoshop project. It started with a photograph I took of a face/ mask thing on a mirror, and I turned it into this.

This is sharpie and photoshop. It's of a cloaked woman

This is kust a pencil sketch I did. I tried to get rid of the notebook lines in photoshop.

Finally, this is just a pencil sketch of the potc skull.

SleepyWitch: I'm eager to see the tiger, after seeing the too-cute zebra.

Sweets America: You seem a natural. How long have you been painting and drawing?

Pendragon: I enjoy your visual humor. What is most interesting is that your work seems to be very to-the-point at firts look, but the more one looks at it the more personal it seems. Although it being personal, comes as unintentional.

blackbird_9: The mirror image is very haunting. The lighting intrigues me. The cloaked woman is also interesting. The stairs turning in toward the women and ending, seems some what suggestive.

Thank you! I have been drawing since I've been a little girl, I have always loved drawing. I have been painting for a long time as well. I just love the peaceful feeling that I get when I paint. I think of nothing but my painting. It's very relaxing. When I was younger, my drawing teacher wanted me to pursue art studies, but everyone said that it would be too hard and with no chance to get a job after, so, I was too scared to do it and I gave up. Also, I was not sure it was what I wanted to do for a living. I am not sure if it is just a great hobby or something more.

Whew, Blackbird, you get some highly detailed work even in a pencil sketch.

Nick, mon ami, you red painting is very Cthulhu Mythos like to me.

Sweets, it's the eyes in your portrait that are alive, and give life to the picture which I find far from expressionless.

As for myself, I have descended into quick sketches that sometimes leave people wondering about myself. I have won in art shows in sculpture, unfortunately the sculpture, created in 1977 was broken to pieces during a move. I have a picture somewhere.

Pen, thanks for your nice comment. I see how Prince could find my face expressionless, but I still agree with you about the eyes. The fact that I do not smile doesn't mean that I have no expression. There are things that I do not dare telling, but you can read them on my face.
This is great that you won in art shows, it would be nice if you could find that picture.

Thank you you guys. And Reccura, I totally don't mind if you use one as a desktop. I'm flattered.

Nick, that red one you did is kinda Rothko. I like it.
And Sweets, I agree with Nick. I does seem as though you have a natural hand at it.

I was majorly on a surrealist kick when I did this one, it has a poem that goes with it, but I'll let that slide for now. Should I ever win the Picture Poetry contest, maybe this is what they will get, eh? Heh-heh!
