I had a similar and yet much less lofty situation. My best friend and I were huge fans of The Sonny and Cher show. We were young, early elementary and we loved pretending we were them. I always wanted to be Cher because I thought she was so beautiful but like you, I am whiter than white but my best friend is Native American and had that long black hair so I had no legs to stand on in the argument that I should be Cher. I pleaded my case by pointing out I was the taller of us so therefore, I should be Cher but that long black hair trumped height every time so I always had to be Sonny...but I was always Cher at heart.

Exactly, and even then it's a crap shoot.

We cant really give you a definite answer Steph. You really have to go see a doctor. Even try see one that doesnt know you or go to a womens clinic (do you have them in the states?) they'll run tests and give you advice. But if it turns out you arent, be careful. If you are, my thoughts are with you. But you must take a step. I would suggest getting someone to get you a home kit but that might not work out well for you as someone might tell someone else so.... I'm sorry if i'm not mush help but you need to look after yourself as see a doc.

This happened to me once. I was late once and started to suspect that I was and then I took a home test and it turns out, i was according to the home test. Then I went to a clinic and took a free test there, and got a negative result. But I wasn't convinced because i felt different plus, their test was el cheapo and couldn't detect a pregnancy that early on. So I paid for a blood test and got their confirmation that I was in fact pregnant. So, if I were you, i would go buy a pretty good test - they're coming out with some that can detect that hormone quite early on. You need to find out so that you can make some decisions about what you're going to do. You'll want to watch your nutrition, and go over your options. You don't want to just sit on it if you know what I mean. The sooner you find out, the sooner you can come up with a plan.

If you can, go to a pharmacy or something and buy a test and then take it somewhere other than at your house (sounds sick, but maybe you can find a public restroom and set up shop there. Maybe find one with a lock and sink set up (not one of those multiple stall situations) so you have space and a surface to put the thing on - you definitely want an accurate result)

As far as my situation, I was extremely stressed. My now husband was less than thrilled and I made myself sick over it because I didn't know how I was going to handle it. I was at home on a very sunny Sunday afternoon at my desk and the oddest thing happened. I felt the world shift suddenly and this feeling came over me like everything was going to be alright. And i had a miscarriage. I think it had happened at that moment, but I didn't know until Tuesday.

Good luck steph - you're in my thoughts.

Edit: If you passed out at a party and you didn't know what was happening, is that not rape?? Who went to the party with you? If it were me, I'd want to know for a number of reasons. Someone needs a boot in their butt.

Yeah...I was almost in a similar situation. I was at a friends house...er rather ex-friends house. But we were just hanging out...they were drinking, I was the DD. But anyways, my friend(not the ex-friend), comes over to me and tells me not to drink anything they give me. He said that he saw some of them with pills and that they were putting them into their own drinks. I found out later that it was one of those drugs that they people use to increase sexual awareness and then causes them to black out. They were taking some other kind of drug...but I haven't talked to them since then. And I've stopped partying as well.

Take extra good care of yourself. Go to a clinic and they can help you out. Like Shalot said, there are tests that can predict a lot closer now. So you might want to ask a friend to get you one or you could get it. Have you been under a lot of stress, or anxiety etc? Because I missed my period this month and I've also been feeling really weird, but I know I'm not pregnant because I'm not sexually active. Stress/anxiety(etc.) does crazy things to your body...

Good luck and my thoughts are with you...

Have you thought about telling your boyfriend??

well, again I hope it all works out to your advantage. Just find out so that you can make a plan. I'm so sorry that this happened to you.

Good luck to you Steph. I've been there myself, and it is really scary, especially when you are very young. I was 16 when I found myself pregnant by my boyfriend. My best advice is to confide in your parents if you find out that you are. I know this is easier said than done, but you may be surprised at how they react. My parents were irate when they first found out, but they would have moved heaven and earth to help me if I hadn't micarried in the first trimester. You are in my thoughts.

Good Luck, and Take Care, Steph!!
I'm weary with right-angles, abbreviated daylight,
Waiting for a winter to be done.
Why do I still see you in every mirrored window,
In all that I could never overcome?
