    Rough day? Vent here . . .

Did you have a rough day? Talk about it here; you will most likely feel better, and others may have empathy/sympathy. I will start.

While spending time with a good friend, and one of her friends, who I had previously never met, her friend made a very cruel reference about a passer-by of a different race - a racist slur-term. If there exists any one thing that angers me, it is racism. I normally consider myself a very patient, kind, and opinionated person, but this comment he made instantly made me explode with insults that probably seemed unnecessary. Can you believe that he considers himself anti-racist, though he uses offensive racial slurs?! I very kindly asked a certain non-white person (I will not specify for fear of offending others) what he thought of it, in front of my "anti-racist" acquaintance, and he disapproved, and found the fact highly offensive. I eventually became so angry, I merely left without saying one word more; I feel there exists no justification for using racial-profiling labels, as it keeps racism alive, even when used by someone who claims anti-racism. What do you all think? And feel free, in the future, to share your bad days - I created the thread for that reason.

...confused... is there racism in this forum? Why do you hate people who love their country? Some people are just crazy.

    Hope you feel better soon.

    I´m home from work.
I want to move south. It´s dark here. And we have something called "vinterkräk sjukan "- the winter vomit disease. It comes evry year, during winter . Why didn´t our ancestors stay somewhere else? A place with sun.

I think the problem is not the people who love their country, as I am sure everyone loves their own country to some extent, but those who discriminate against others in the name of that love. Like discrimination against immigrants which is, unfortunately, becoming quite common and widespread in Europe...

Totally agree with you. Those kind of people who think you are a traitor because you do some critic to your own country government. I think they lack criticism.

Constructive criticism is a good way to improve things you care of (not just talking about nationalisms)

I had a ****ty day, I got into a huge fight with my parents, our familly is repeating the mistakes that my dads familly did. I just hate it, it seems that all of the love has escaped our family and that we just can't live together.

Can't post the rest of my day here, too inapropriate, and I'll probably just get more depressed, pm if you wish.

hey fool, Scheherazade said what I meant.... I got that alot even from my freinds for being american when I was younger... really pissed me off and introduced me to this idea of nationalist supiority... I have no porblem with people loving thier country... i wonder about them though, I've got no country to love (thats because i grew up in many and my home country is just as strange to me as other places the I've lived...) I don't think there's rascism but what I meant was congratulations to ajoe for speaking up against it... not on the forum cursing and swearing and what not... didn't mean that... anyway sorry fo rthe conclusion

My alarm clock didn't go off and i feel unbearably lonely. Ohter than that this is just another day in treasure valley (i love the irony of that name)
