It's a good thing Kim always managed to come up with a particle of the week to save Voyager, or it would have been one short run.
Voyager is the weakest of the TNG shows. I'm not even sure what I think is worse, Voyager or Enterprise.
    VOY is not a TNG show TNG=TNG, DS9=DS9, VOY=VOY

yeah, you're right, I don't like VOY either and Janeway is definitely not the best Starfleet Captain, but I still like the idea of a female, middle-aged, non-eye-candy captain better than female super-heros in catsuits

award her a whole $45 a week in child support, she feels like she’s

to find work that pays well. She scrimps and saves every dime and
quarter to give her children a life. She washes on a wringer type
washing machine and everything is hung on the line to dry even on
the coldest winter days. She loves and cares for all of her children
like they were the most precious things on earth. Each grows to
adulthood safely and become good citizens. Then, the day before
the youngest turns 18, she is finds out she has cancer and dies
6 months later. And she is not bitter, but thankful that she lived
long enough to see her youngest become an adult.
That’s a super hero. That’s my Mom. That's my super hero.

    mine too, and you!

I was talking about the time period. 24th vs 23th vs 22nd century. Although Voyager took timetravel as a day to day activity to pass the time, so heh, the show is as much 29th century as it is 24th century TNG era.

    Like Seven of Nine.

On a general note, I think the best female superheroes are from the X-men universe.

hahaha, you can't beat his dumbness, either
my bf and me watched The Search for Spock the other day (the 3rd movie), where it takes Kirk forever to figure out that Spock did a mindmelt with McCoy and transferred all his memories and his soul to McCoy before he died...
note that the sequence of events is as follows:
    1. McCoy goes nuts and forces his way into Spock's quarters.
    2. Kirk meets him there and McCoy says "You left me on Genesis. Why?... take me to Mt. Seleya on Vulcan" (or something along those lines)
    3. Kirk says "there's a good boy" and goes off to strut around stupidly for a bit.
    4. he meets Spock's father who hisses at him for leaving Spock on Genesis. Spocks father thinks Kirk has got Spock's soul. Kirk denies this. They argue for a bit and do a mind melt. Spock's father learns that Kirk doesn't have Spock's mind/soul
    5. they are puzzled. then they conclude someone else must have Spock's mind because he wouldn't have let it die.
    6. Kirk is even more puzzled and can't think of anyone. They watch the CCTV tape of Spocks death. First time round, it goes too fast for Kirk. He doesn't even notice McCoy
    7. Finally they play it in slow motion and with a sharp intake of breath - surprise, surprise, well I never, who wud of thunk- Iowa farm boy realizes that it's McCoy
    baaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

Honestly, the only decent Star Trek captain was Picard. Janeway had the annoying sanctimonious voice, Kirk was short and wooden, Cisco was arrogant and self-absorbed, and I couldn't disassociate Archer from Quantum Leap. Picard was ex-RSC for goodness sake, clearly floors the competition.

P.S. The Fifth Element is a true female super-hero!
