    October parades
Brings the winter days and months
    Onslaught of Christmas.
"The time has come," the Walrus said,
    "To talk of many things:
    Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
    Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
    And whether pigs have wings."

For this relief much thanks: 'tis bitter cold,
And I am sick at heart.

    Winter wonderland
sprinkled with blood and brains and
    guts from slaughtered sheep

Good morning, ktd. What a refreshing image.

    Guts from slaughtered sheep
    Provide a warm enclosure
    Shelter from the cold.
As Kingfishers catch fire, dragonflies draw flame . . .

Why disqualify the rush? I'm tabled. I'm tabled.

Good to see you, Shoutgrace. Keeping yourself too busy to visit Lit-net on a daily basis?
Yes, I was thinking about breakfest. Initially it was fluffy, pillowy soft pancakes...I don't know where the verse went wrong.

    Shelter from the cold -
    maggots are good companions -
    keep some in your hands

It would seem so. Who says the verse went wrong? Maybe it went terribly, terribly right.

    Keep some in your hands
    A little pixie dust can
    Change your visual.

    Wild over breakfast
    Morning inhibitions fade
    And food starts flying.

    Blame the recipe
    because the meal tastes awful
    surprisingly bad...
