    Pinkmoon;

Just thought I'd drop a comment or two about your posted work. While the anime stuff is nice enough for what it is I think that your drawing from life (photograph?) is far stronger. This drawing is especially good:

It actually reminds me of some of the early linear work of Lucian Freud:

As a professional artist and art educator I can tell you from experience that there is no better way to learn than drawing/painting from life.

Those are all so great, Toni and Reccura! Great job! That "Dying Africa" is really great. And "Technicolored Peace", too! I love how your works are literary-insprired, Toni.

Well, they're just in my sketchbook, and I color nothing in my sketchbook. Plus I was on the bus for a long time that day, so I really had nothing else to do. My drawings are nothing compared to your guys', though. Mine are just silly cartoons.

First I picked the best ones out of my sketchbook, and then I took pictures of those, and then some of the pictures didn't turn out good, so I'll re-take them later. I wasn't planning on dumping all of you with a bunch of pictures, anyway, because it's not very nice.

"Catrina: La Senora de Los Muertos"

Catrina is a common symbol for the holiday Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). I did this drawing when I was researching Dia de Los muertos for Spanish class.

    "Ponytail!Dr.F's Dreams"

The top is really blurry, but it's just his little dream bubble of him on top of the world and he's saying "MWA HA HA HA! I'm the God, I"m the God!"

    "Rain Doom!"

Here's one of the pictures I made on the bus. I proud of this one because I've never actually drawn Zim succesfully without looking at a picture of him to reference from. I don't practive drawing him much, either. Hooray for my good memory.

    "SEND 'EM THE MOVIE, FRANK!"

"I'm gonna cut ya, man, I'm gonna cut ya...I'M NOT GONNA SEND 'EM THE MOVIE!" Hee hee. This was my first time drawing TV's Frank. At the bottom it says, "Two seconds later Dr. F bashes Frank's head against the control panel. <3"

    "Spud Boys"

This is just one of my better DEVO drawings. I referenced the picture from one of the pictures in the little booklet of my DEVO Greatest Hits CD. The picture is also on the cover of one of their albums. The words across the members say, "DUTY NOW FOR THE FUTURE".
The bottom says, "Geez, how many DEVO drawings am I going to make?". Heh heh. I've been drawing DEVO like crazy.

As you can see, I like to make commentary to my drawings...

    Sorry that they're really fuzzy.

they are very good, better than what i can draw, even though it has never been my strong suit. i'll post my drawings as soon as i find them

The only example of my "art" currently accessible on the web is here.

I've done a lot more knight's tours, on various sizes and shapes of boards, but this is all that's online.

You are absolutely right, usually I draw wile looking at the photo, but the result is, sometimes, are not the same.
they are photos from magazines, the people, but the other drawings , of places, are imaginative. thanks alot for your comments.

    Thanks!

I drew three or four drawings today, plus I was thinking about posting my Noodle History comics and maybe some other older drawings of mine, but it's four minutes to midnight (I'm a night owl. ) and everyone else is asleep and the stupid beeping noise that the camera makes is too loud. So maybe sometimes tomorrow or in the not too distant future. Next Sunday, A.D. Maybe.

During my clean up(of my bedroom) i found these two pics that ive been looking for for ages! wanted to post them here! They are both the same image taken from a photo of a degraded high cross from St Mullins in Co. Carlow. The first one is a pencil sketch and the second is a water colour. hope you like them!
