The Nile Song -Pink Floyd (I knew it was a Pink Floyd song, but I couldn't think which one. AND I own the album. )

    Another Saturday, another date.
She would be ready but she'd always make him wait.
    In the hallway, in anticipation,
He didn't know the night would end up in frustration.
He'd end up blowing all his wages for the week
All for a cuddle and a peck on the cheek.

    Come dancing - The Kinks

    A man of riches
May claim a crown of jewels
    But the king of heaven
Can be told from the prince of fools
Women and men(both dong and ding)
    summer autumn winter spring
reaped their sowing and went their came
    sun moon stars rain

It's one of my favorite songs from their early years. Dave has that heavy metal scream which is so incredibly unusual for him. One of the things I love the most about him is his beautiful, melodic voice but it's nice to hear him let it rip at least once in awhile.

Aunty-lion, your song is By The Mark by Gillian Welch...I had to google that one.

’cause I gonna make you see
    There’s nobody else here
    No one like me
    I’m special so special
I gotta have some of your attention give it to me
the luminous grass of the prairie hides
feet lovely and still as sleeping doves,
porcelain bones strong enough to carry a life,
    but weighty and unmovable
    As black Dakota hills.

Jimmy Buffet ~ Cheeseburger in Paradise (Yeah, Parrotheads!)

    Your ketchup's in the bag
And her check is in the mail
I hope your chicken's raw inside
And I hope your bun is stale
    I'm supposed to tell you
    "Please come back"
    But how bout this instead?
I hope you both choke on a pickle
Man, that would tickle me to death
    I don't know what you're waiting on
    You're holding up the line
Oh man, you ain't got no change coming back
Are you out of your mind?
    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

Tim McGraw - Do You Want Fries With That?

    Babe you know
    You're growing up so fast
    And Mama's worrying
That you won't last to say
    Let's play
    Sister Christian
    There's so much in life
    Don't you give it up
    Before your time is due
    It's true
    It's true yeah

Oh my gosh, that song brings back memories...Sister Christian ~ Night Ranger

'Cause the joke that you laid in the bed
That was me and I'm not gonna fade
As soon as you close your eyes, and you know it
And every time I scratch my nails
Down someone else's back I hope you feel it

Is it called Swan, Swan (something or rather...) by REM?

I hope I'm remembering that right...

    Anyway,

Why aren't you kind to me?
    You could so easily
Take me in your arms and see
A Donkey, a beast for thee.

Beast For Thee - Bonnie 'Prince' Billy

    Made of plastic and elastic
    He is rugged and long-lasting
Who could ever ever ask for more?
    Love without complications galore

Many shapes and weights to choose from
I will never leave my bedroom
I will never cry at night again
Wrap my arms around him and pretend

Well my name's John Lee Pettimore

Copperhead Road - Steve Earle (googled, but I should've gotten this one)

But who can unlearn all the facts that I've learned
I sat in their chairs and my synapses burned
The torture of chalk dust collects on my tongue
Thoughts follow my vision and dance in the sun
All my vasoconstrictors, they come slowly undone
Can't this wait 'til I'm old,
    Can't I live while I'm young?

    Chalk Dust Torture ~ Phish

I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean

What I Am by EDIE BRICKELL

My mother was a witch, she was burned alive.
Thankless little *****, for the tears I cried.
Take her down now, don't want to see her face
All blistered and burnt, can't hide my disgrace

    Am I Evil - Metallica

In this place that I call home
My brain's the cliff and my heart's the bitter buffalo
    My heart's the bitter buffalo
We tore one down and erected another there
