Yes, Indeed, sorry, but untill he comes tomorrow to complete I'll be waiting, as I'ndred things to tell him, such questions about prophets as I believe shall be answered quickly.
SO I'll just wait until he comes, adding a little info. : prophets were people not angels nor sons of god, so that we humans wouldn't argue,,,

Dear Shadowy Girly and Ashley...Thank you for all your thoughts. Now, since we all seem to know what the purpose of prophets are, I would like to know if there are any living prophets today.
If not, we no longer recieve messeges from God for God works through prophets such as Moses, Abraham, Enoch, and such...

Allow me to add something.. When it comes to sending prophets or messengers that has stopped ,the final prophet is prophet Mohammad..
But when it comes to the fact that whether there are any prophets alive among us to day the answer is no..But they are alive in heaven of course.
Regarding the living prophets / messengers in general, yes there is al messiah (Jesus) peace be upon him the son of the chaste virgin peace be upon her.. he is alive and living in the second sky until God allows him to come and get his vengeance ..
One more information ,if you may dear,
Moses, Abraham, Enoch, and such... are prophets / messengers not only prophets..
You see dear every messenger is a prophet but not every prophet is a messenger..
Dear Neo , we receive messages from God from his own words (Holy books)
we talk to God by praying to him and he speaks to us by his holy books and by the messages he sends to us as individuals ..
You see dear.. Prophets / messengers were sent to show us the road to God and how to worship him.. and now we know that road we do not need messengers between us and God.. it is an open relationship .. We talk to God and he listens to us ,no need for messengers .
I agree with you dear.. the relaionship between God and us has got it's own nature, Cuz God can lead us on his track...So he will be satisfied with us.
Now many people are trying to make their religions take over a wider world, they are messengers now, Cuz they tell people about a message that was sent by God like a thousand years ago...

I think that B'hai believers claim that their religion was founded by a prophet, within the last generation, and I think that the Latter Day Saints consider their leader to be a prophet.
Whether you choose to believe that any of these, or Mahomet or Habakukk have any special gift from, or relationship with, God is entirely up to you.

What I find incredibly funny, in a dark, ironic kind of way, is that Jews, Christians and Moslims all believe in the same god, and kill each other over their religion... *Shakes head* Anyways, they all just follow a certain prophet's teachingings... So, I think, we should just all forget the prophets and then there would be no more fighting/killingOf course, this is blasphemy, and I don't really believe it, I just think it would be an interesting solution.

Seeral things first he Mahdi...never heard that about the christian woman daughter of rome ..but might point out that 'Rome' was usuaed to describe the western christian empires so not nesserially Rome itself. The Mahdi is supposed to be a decendant of the prophet ( according to some) who has his name ( and there are so many versions of it) and his fathers name will be the same one. Course Ive never actually seen a hadeeth or surah that refers to the mahdi at all. :S
I once had a teacher that said every 100 years There is aperson with a God given insight into religion and that person ( almost always a man) will dedicate their life to guiding people. The thing is we never know who they are , they dont even know who they are. It always seemed a bit strange to me.

Night, we know Mahdi from hadeeths of prophet, all other strange things about his mother and so on leave them you will hear alot of untrue hadeeths said about Mahdi.he is not born yet and when he come he come we shouldnt waste time talking about him and to listen to every thing said about him.
About the person that Allah send him every 100 years, this is a hadeeth of prophet. They are only people who give another time the live to islam and scholars, scientists agree that the man of the first 199 year is Omar bin Abd Alazeez, the second century is Mouhammed bin Idrees ashafiy and so on, its not something that you must believe or must agree that this is the person but we know them from their work to islamic nation, the science they give and how they defend islam teachings.
Ummm...A living prophet is someone that's alive today that's recieving messeges and is in contact with God. Just like the prophets of old such as Noah, Abraham, Joseph and on through the prophets.
I came to the conclusion of believing that a prophet exist...Possibly through the process of elimination...And faith.
