Hey, most of the authors you have mentioned over here are included in my favourites.

Hi Im Kashna, I'm Sri Lankan Welsh. I was born in Hong Kong, and am currently living in England; I have to admit my puncuality, grammer and of course spelling are pretty bad. But what I truely love is writting and books.
I love the Empire series about Juilus Ceaser, Earth Children series by Jean Auel and of course The book Wild swans. Im 15 by the way, I kinda forgot to mention that...and my favourite colours yellow.

    Wink Hi, I'm new

I'm Petra Wiggin. For those of you who have read Orson Scott Card, you will get my name. For those who haven't, I'll explain if you want. Um . . . I love to read. Like, LOVE, to read. I have read everyday since I was nine, and before that I would pretend I read everyday. I have read everything from the Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot to Les Miserables by Victor Hugo (the condensed version, something about cutting out the parts where he spends fifteen pages mooning over the sunset). I love to write as well, though that comes much harder. I have been trying to write a book since I was nine, and have only gotten to the eleventh chapter -- once. It is hard. I don't think that, or aspire to, write the "American Masterpiece",but I don't want to write a book I do not love. Does that sound strange? And besides, I like almost every genre, so I can't decide what I want to write.
    Mhmmm, anything else . . .
Ilove movies as well. Almost all kinds ecxept horror, hard-core war, and porn I love fantasy, sci-fi, and classic/period movies, especially when it is all combined.
I have very strong opinions. I'm not afraid ti say them. But I do not likehurting people with my opinions, though I don't mind offending them. I know, just a little paradoxical.
Thats all I'm going to say for now. Nice to meet you guys, and I hope I can become an integeral part of this community. Write to you later . . . bye!

Hello, I am Dave from California. Recently found this wonderfully big and cozy lit discussion site and wanted to be a member and chat with other book lovers.

Currently reading The Innocent by Harlen Coben and love it. Pretty good, almost finished with it. What's your favorite book Dave from California?
Life is like a book. You gotta take it one chapter at a time. Taking it a page at a time is to slow. Taking it a word at a time is just out of the question.

    Hi there :)

Well, since the little square box is saying that I've never posted yet, and I might as well start doing that by saying hi.. here we go

My name is Chantal, and I'm a student of English language and culture at the uni of Amsterdam. I'm in the first year now, so I'm probably often using this site for extra information on the texts I've got to read . Unfortunately I haven't got a lot of time atm to spend online, but I'll try to do my best and read a lot of what is said here!

    Cya!

1984, Frankenstein, and Brave New World are excellent books. Newer books I really enjoyed were Brooks' World War Z. But I can't truly say and I would probably rank lower on mileage than most on this site.

M.R. James and H.P. Lovecraft are old standbyes and personal favorites.
