    is there?

People are obsessed about different things....but..turnips (imagine a lot of emphasis on this word)...I have seen no use of turnip except as a salad

*after this expression of my innermost thoughts about turnips in the most outrageous manner, I can see Aimus coming to eat me instead of some cookies*

Turnips impart sweetness to soups and Swedes when boiled and mashed with butter and pepper are delicious.

Although I know of no specific literature of the humble turnip I would say that it has a long tradition of being eaten with haggis on Burns' Night so it does have a tenuous connection outside of recipe books. That reminds me I have to go out and shoot a couple of haggi this weekend!

Be careful! The last time I saw a picture of haggi, it looked like a grenade to me...

I wonder what is it filled with -- not 'humble' turnip

Why is it cooked inside the animal's stomach? (that is what I read about how its cooked) Does it add a special flavour to it?

Note: Hey, I dont hate turnips, I am just teasing Aimus for his fondness for turnips. And, that he is good enough not to mind it.
