If we are on the topic of fish, in my non-vegan days i used to be a fan of broiled cod.

I'm guessing she's quite the Star Wars fanatic then
I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

What? heresy!!!! The very essence of this thread is to nuture the commonality within the same sex i.e Women, Cars, Beer, Women,Women, and just maybe preserves.

What about a man who is distant from society and rarely sees women, does not own or know much about cars, is a recovering alcoholic, and is allergic to most berries and can not eat preserves? If such a man shockingly had internet access and could come to this thread whatever will you "men" do??

I like shark balls, shark meat rolled into a ball, dipped in batter and deep-fried

This shark made for some good shark balls (and steaks!)

my gosh.. that is SOooo inhumane.. I'm sorry if this offends but I'm an animal lover... that picture makes me squeemish ... Sharks are caught in nets, then they cut the sharksfin off and the animal dies... out of the water, finless and bleeding to death. How could anyone eat something that died like that??? I love IMITATION abalone and IMITATION sharksfin and IMITATION scallpos.. which are cheaper and purely vegetarian...

Fish however, taste great grilled... especially Bangus or Milkfish which is also freat steamed but you have to steam fish with ginger to remove that muddy smell...

If they had a shark basin where I could get fresh shark, I would definitely try it But alas, they don't.

a hook and line; you can see the rope we used as line in the picture, and a head of another, smaller shark that had gotten caught on a higher hook...we found the body of the smaller shark in the bigger shark's stomach...apparently they eat other sharks if in distress.

I understand your concern and apologize for causing discomfort...but do realize that most animals that humans eat are killed in a similar manner, as severing the main artery in a shark's tail fin (which is how we killed this shark) allows for a fairly quick death. It's almost the same as beheading livestock or the fish that you say you love grilled...
