    Did you cause the accident?
I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

Was the ice-cream meant for you?

And, as we don't want to be impolite, do you want to speak about it?
If you believe even a half of this post, you are severely mistaken.

If you had had the ice-cream, that death of somebody wouldn't have had happened?

Is the accidental death directly linked to yours not having ice cream 20 years ago?
If so, did the death occur due to yours not having the ice cream?
If you often feel like this, is it because you feel guilty or responsible for some reason? Like, let's say, for somebody dying?
Did you know the person (I assume it was a person and not a pet ) before they died?
If so, did you know them well?
    Were you friends?
About that accident and how the dead body became dead, was there banana skin involved?
Traffic accident? (ie hit by a car or bus or a plane and such )
    I have a plan: attack!

Were you present when the death occurred?
Did other people witness the death?
    Was the DP a relative?

Was the ice cream offered to you by the dead guy?
Does suicide count as an accident? Did he commit suicide?
Did you refuse to have the ice cream for any reason in particular or you just didn't feel like indulging?
After the dead guy died, was his body in one piece and generally intact or was he a bit of a puzzle?
Did you witness the death of... don't-know-him-too-well-and-he's-not-my-friend?
If not, did you find out about his death in the media? Somebody told you about it?

    To recap:

    - Type/ flavour of ice cream and how it was to be served is irrelevant.

    - I did not kill or got killed by anyone.

    - I was offered the ice cream.

    - There was no specific reason for wanting or not wanting the ice cream.

    - Someone did die.

    - Ice cream was not poisoned.

    - I often feel like this.

    - If I had had the ice cream, something would not have happened.

    - The death was not a violent one but an accident.

    - If I had the ice crea, something would not have happened.

    - It has something to do with my wish to have saved someone.

    - The DP is a he.

    - I knew the DP well and he was a relative.

    - The ice cream did not cause the death directly.

    - I was not present when the death happen and no one else witnessed it.

    - It was not a suicide.

    - I simply did not want to have ice cream at that time.

    - The body was in one piece.

Did the DP know that you had declined the ice cream?
    Did he care?
    Voices mysterious far and near,
Sound of the wind and sound of the sea,
Are calling and whispering in my ear,
    Whifflingpin! Why stayest thou here?

Did the person die immediately after you declined the ice cream?
Or, was his death merely the culmination of a series of events sparked by the refusal of ice cream, and he died more recently?
Did you refuse ice cream out of spite?
Did your wish to save someone come true after your refusal of the ice cream, i.e. you saved one and caused the death of another by your actions?
Did you realize before your refusal the possibility of inflicting death?
