No and yes, Scher. Although my 10-year old brother is more excited about me getting my driver's license than I do.

    Turning 18 this January!

    (Yikes.)

Yeah, I just turned 18, and it's pretty weird. Knowing that I could move out of the house and start my own life however I want is great, until I remember about that whole "paying for college on my own" bit... I'll be 19 approximately 11 months from now, though...
May curiousity kill me, and may satisfaction bring me back.

I seem to have finally found my way back to heaven online, formally known as you all. I've missed you all so much....

I've read your profile and I remember knowing you're already 19, Miss C. Wow. You're just 2 months older than I!

Hey, I move up an age bracket this year! Where's Koa? She and I need to commiserate about the horrific prospect of being a whole quarter century old.

I won't even mention my upcoming age. It's a horrid number. I wouldn't mind being a quater century old.

I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

I'll be 28 this year. Seems like such a nonsense age to be. Who turns 28? Nobody does that anymore.

Virgil, I've been meaning to tell you, when my dad was your age he seemed like he was becoming decrepit, always bemoaning his outrageously high number of years--but then he turned 50 a couple of years ago, and I've never seen him looking so youthful, vital, and healthy. It makes me think of Odysseus standing up to the challenge of Laodamas.

My dad, before the age of fifty:
indeed, so long as I had youth and strength, I was among the first athletes of the age. Now, however, I am worn out by labour and sorrow, for I have gone through much both on the field of battle and by the waves of the weary sea
    ~Odysses, before the competition
    My dad after 50:
"Young men," said he, "come up to that throw if you can, and I will throw another disc as heavy or even heavier. If anyone wants to have a bout with me let him come on, for I am exceedingly angry; I will box, wrestle, or run, I do not care what it is
~Odysseus, after he has kicked the pants off all the young men
Anyway, I can see the same thing happening in your case, Virgil. Look forward to 50!

I'm actually going to have a very significant birthday next year but I'm trying my best to forget about it.
