nope Maddhy, within the EU it's not a problem at all (at least if your country is both in the EU and the "Schengen Agreement" )
you don't need a visa or anything. You can even go to all the other EU countries to live and work there permanently without any hassle. But it would be more difficult for people from India. I think it would be easy to enter via the UK??? But then you'd need separate visa for each country

I have heard of Schengan visa, many Indians who live long term in any European nation (ofcourse coming under EU or the agreement)...does try to get a Schenegan visa, just as you said it makes it easier for them too, to visit a different country without much problem.
I think such agreements provide good opportunities (either to go on a vacation, work, or settle permanently)
