Female depiction in Tess

Hey, I'm writing a paper about Hardy's depiction of female characters in Tess. If anyone has really strong opinions about it, please let me know.

I've just started the novel. I find it rather amazing. I like the way Hardy describes and deals with his heroin. But knowing Hardies stile and especially the way he ends his novels with, makes me my perseption of his feminist characters rather dull. It would be clear by the end I hope.

i am sorry to say I was a Tess for three years and I think that one is bound in one's world with sorrow or too many cares for the young age or abuse of any sort or especially abandonment -one can see a person like a painting that from the first overwhelms the senses and gives an indelible etching in the brain and emotions that may prove to be utterly false.
But without the proper skills to differentiate that which the heart desires and puts into the object of the desire and the stark truth-well you can get yourself in pretty deep waters that can end up drowning you.
