orange on sunsets, tigers, fruit and pumpkins. purple on mountains, flowers, grapes and in deference to your love of the NFL tailor, "people eaters!"
I have one piece of orange clothing and no purple ones. although I am thinking purple looks great on women for dresses and ahem, lingerie. so how about, orange for me and purple for the other half!

lendo, can I suggest either doing the ten minute research to acquaint yourself with enough information to make the choice, or leaving it to someone else to answer? meanwhile, i'll revisit it another time.
I think the two are similar in terms of the good they do for people in general, but a slight lean towards ellen DeGeneres based soley on her comedic abilities.
