Obsessive: An anxiety disorder where the afflicted admit they are nuts but they can’t get their minds to stop futzing about something. Sometimes they try ritual, “compulsive” activity like cleaning the kitchen again and again and again to stop their minds, which has a possible upside for the slobs in the family who can’t believe how clean the kitchen looks, but it does get in the way when one of the slobs is trying to make lunch. Sometimes they do stuff that has no upside whatsoever like constantly washing their hands in the bathroom which can be disturbing especially when one of the slobs prepared some questionable food for the others resulting in long waiting lines outside the bathroom. A ritual activity that is understandably rarely tried because the afflicted are sure it won’t work, and it probably won’t, is to sit still when their minds go bonkers and enjoy the ride. However, almost no one does this because it is far more fun to clean the kitchen which probably needs it after a slob has just made lunch.
