I do want to read a Hemingway book. May I nominate For Whom the Bell Tolls. I want to read it as part of my Spanish Civil War project.

According to Aldous Huxley, D.H. Lawrence once said that Balzac was 'a gigantic dwarf', and in a sense the same is true of Dickens.

I'll refrain from voting, but I will certainly get in on any discussion. I love Hemingway and have read all but one on the above list, and of those I've read, I have enjoyed all but one very much

There is an interesting movie called Wrestling Ernest Hemingway, with Robert Duval and Shirley McLane.

I am surprised. Was expecting more interest in Hemingway. Maybe he is losing his fan-base as well.
