What are some great stalker novels?

I'm doing a music video and the song is about a stalker. There's going to be a scene in the video with a girl reading and I'd like to have her holding some book that is thematically related to stalking. I'm a non-fiction guy myself so I need help with this. Thought someone on here might be able. Thanks.

The Collector by John Fowles might be a good one.

    Nabokov's Lolita perhaps?
"I should only believe in a God that would know how to dance. And when I saw my devil, I found him serious, thorough, profound, solemn: he was the spirit of gravity- through him all things fall. Not by wrath, but by laughter, do we slay. Come, let us slay the spirit of gravity!" - Nietzsche

Tess from Tess of the d'Urbervilles had a stalker, sort of. At least she had a man who wouldn't leave her alone.
According to Aldous Huxley, D.H. Lawrence once said that Balzac was 'a gigantic dwarf', and in a sense the same is true of Dickens.

I'd second this one. I think there was a serial killer that claimed that this book inspired him. If you just want a book to be seen in your video then I think this is the one to go for.

Nabakov's Pale Fire, but it is about a famous poet who is stalked by his fan/colleague/neighbor, not a girl being stalked by a man.

I may call Florentino Ariza (Love in the Time of Cholera/Marquez) kind of a stalker.

Definitely The Collector. Also, Perfume by Suskind is a good one as well.
