    Many thanks, Gilliatt.

Both images were sketched using a Ticonderoga black #2 pencil. I love these pencils because they smudge just perfectly for my purposes, nice gradients. The price is right, too. I go through over a hundred a year. Cheap, school grade #2s.

Something I should probably share, I don't scan my photos. I photograph them. With the first one I used "picsart" editing software to play around with color. The picture was going to be thrown away, so I was just experimenting with new digital color tools. Picsart has some nice features, but I couldn't quite make the picture into something polished enough. Still, I had fun.

For the second picture I returned to my often used vignette filter, which just darkened it up around the edges. I'm pleased with the results. It helped that I was sketching such a lovely model with life experience etched in her face.

I like the #2 pencil also but primarily use charcoal. I also do a lot of pen drawings with an ordinary ballpoint pen, which forces you to be accurate since you can't erase.

I'll post some images later; I have some charcoal (and a few pen) drawings I did about a year and a half ago of an old man in a bar in NYC. I rather like them.

Can I have my name on that list, too?

I am excited to see those, Cioran! Glad to have you with us. I should work in charcoal again for a change. I love ballpoint pens, too! I have a few images on my profile that were done in pen.

I want to see these, but I can't seem to get them to load in my phone's browser. I'll try again when I'm at home.

They don't load on my computer either. Maybe the links are only operative when Cioran is logged in to The Galilean Library.

    Yes, that would be spectacular.

    Doh!

I think they only load on my browser because they are image-linked to another forum, where they are behind a firewall. I'll see what I can do to figure this out.
