Update: Somebody other than Sancho won the Powerball. So much for 4-11-44, a poor man’s remedy.

And so much for Rock-N-Roll. How about some sweet soul music from one of the originals?

Papaya! We need to share iPod playlists.

Anybody listen to Pandora Radio? I don’t know how they do it, but they keep finding stuff I like, or maybe they just know that I’ve been down and out on a Greyhound Bus:

John Prine covers Blaze Foley’s Clay Pigeons

I liked Mark’s selection too. And since I’m pretty sure Mark will hate the above tune, how about a little more Soul Music?

    Street music - yeah baby!

Pretty good tune too. I liked that song a lot the first six or seven hundred times I heard it.

    8/10

Whoops, I went a little negative there, eh? Must be the 'Michael Bolton' effect.

Anyhoo... Anybody in a Dead-Head kind of a mood?

This one goes along with our discussion over on Mick's guns-n-ammo thread:

    Dupree's Diamond Blues

Went down to the jewelry store packing a gun
Sez, wrap it up, I think I'll take this one
A thousand dollars please, the jewelry man said
Dupree said, I'll pay this one off to you in lead

    http://youtu.be/A_Ed9FSussg

and it's no wonder your reason goes bad
    - jelly role will drive you stone mad -

I have a complicated relationship with The Dead but I dig this song 8/10

I heard this song a couple mornings ago and I can't get it out of my head:

It's a pleasant enough song, but it doesn't really go anywhere, 7/10.

I can't think of anything to post, so here's some autotuned drag queens:

Well... Highly entertaining video, amusing lyrics, but the song itself is kind of dreadful (or amazing, dependant on affinity for auto-tuned pop). 3/10 for me.

From one of music's coolest... A little strange, this song, though this might make me love it all the more...

I didn't understand a word that she said, but I kinda knew what she was saying, if you know what I mean. Anyway I'm familiar with that look and I get that tone all the time. So there you go.

    9/10, heh heh, go baby.

So now that we've covered an angry-woman tune, how about some Milf rock? These guys are from around where I live. I don't think they're playing anymore, and I'm not quite sure what the motorcycles are all about, but you can definitely hear a North Georgia accent on this song.

I'm gonna go with an 8 outta 10. That tune floored me the first time I heard it. I didn't think you could do that sort of thing in rock-n-roll. And that's coming from a guy who has always preferred amped, slightly out of tune, roadhouse rock to so-called rock operas. Minus two only because I've heard it too many times. And I still don't know what "scaramooch scaramooch will you do the fandango" means.

Anyway, I'm digging Papaya's Bobby Darin tune too. In fact, a couple of days ago on another thread, Pendragon and I wrote Mack the Knife into our Private Eye story as a character. Ah, but then yesterday I killed him with a Chinese Throwing Star. These things happen, you know.

So then, I hear this guy is HUGE in France:

Sancho Panza!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, your avatar has to be the best (not to mention the cutest) representation of Cervantes' masterpiece.

I don't think it is humanly possible for anyone who loves Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time to not shed a tear at this song. Even though this version of the song is potentially the worst.
