50/50 I think. I'll go for 150 on England with fingers crossed...

Penalties. England are hell to watch.
Italy should have won, but England held on. We'll see.

Italy win on penalties. Fair result after their performance.
On the bright side I can relax and enjoy the footie now. Relief.

Portugal v Spain
I always feel penalties are very unfair but, in this case, Italians were the better team. Not sure they will have much chance against Germany, though, if they do not improve their game by then.

Wow, I honestly think that if it was not for the genius idea of Pirlo, we would have lost - morale was completely crushed after Montella missed the penalty; and Pirlo did the only thing he could do to save it. It was like when an army is about to route and the general takes a small detachment of cavalry and charges the enemy head-on - without tactical ideas or probability of a successful charge, but he does it without hesitation just for the sake of courage. And that is enough to turn a route into a roar of vigor.

That's an excellent analysis and analogy.
That must've been one of the most one-sided draw ever. Justice was done in the end.

I reckon Hodgeson made a mistake in going for Rooney and Ashley Young. They were both below par and didn't combine well, in addition to giving the ball away umpteen times. Carroll was better when he came on and was able to distribute the ball better. I reckon Rooney should have to fight with everyone else to get in the team. It was the same with the world cup. How Italy didn't score in the 90 mins is beyond me.
Spain - the most boring team or Portugal that has Ronaldo.....I reckon the Spanish will catch them asleep. 50 on Spain.

That's about 3 dollars on current exchange rates.
I'll have 400 on Spain.
