    Happy belated birthday, Pensive!

    An interview with Pensive:

*Why are we doing this interview thing?*
I think it's a good way to get to know the virtual family.

*Are you sure you want to do this?*
    Sure.

    *Why would you want that?*
Ego boost. Just kidding. I think my answer to the first question can also account for that.

    *So, how old are you?*
Nineteen. Time flies fast. I was twelve when I had first joined in.

*If you had a personal theme song what would it be?*
I Am A Loser by The Beatles, I suppose.

*Are you male or female? *
    Female.

*If you owned the site, what would you change?*
Hmmm I am perfectly fine with almost everything about litnet. The people are so friendly and nice that it feels like a second family. The site is also very user-friendly. But it would be nice if monthly book clubs could also be conducted live through some kind of forum live chat arrangement. And it is not as active as it once used to be. It would be nice if we all could post more!

*What was the inspiration for your LitNet username? And if you could change it today, what would you pick?*
I believe I have always thought more than that could be necessary for my own good. Perhaps that has been the inspiration. I wouldn't really want to change it but if I must, then 'Mockingbird' sounds like a fine username.

    *Which countries have you visited?*
    None.

    *Which languages do you speak?*
    Urdu, Punjabi and English.

*If you could live somewhere different, where would it be and why?*
Perhaps somewhere safe, small and quiet.

*Have you heard the news today, oh boy?
Yes. The same old, with trivial differences.

    *Do you have any pets?*
Nope. None. Don't desire, either. Cats are cute, though, but only as other people's pets I guess. I am too lazy for one.

    *What makes you happy?*
Oh I can become happy as easily as I can turn sad. Perhaps even more easily. But really it's hard to name anything specifically because the source of my happiness can also become a source of sadness for me at some other time.

*Do you feel comfortable in your walk with God/atheism? *

*Which actor should play you in a movie based on your life?*
I wish Audrey Hepburn could play me. I am neither very pretty nor extremely interesting for late dear Audrey to rise from the dead and play my role, though.

*How do you like your coffee? *
    I don't like coffee. I love it.

*Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?*
    Frog.

*What did you want to be when you grew up?*
Oh I wanted to be so many things all at the same time. Mostly a teacher, writer, journalist or an engineer.

*What's the biggest fish you've ever caught?*
    Never caught one.

*What makes you feel great about yourself?*
I can't stay angry at people for long. But honestly I am not all so great.

*How did you meet your significant other?*
Hmmm reminds me of this really sappy song by James Blunt:
'I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
Cause I'll never be with you.
It's time to face the truth
    I'll never be with you.

But we shared a moment that will last till the end.'

*What are you naturally good at? (Skills, abilities, gifts etc.)*
I am told to be pretty modest about everything. So for the sake of keeping with the title, I wouldn't really go further with my specialties.

*What is the one thing you must do before you die?*
Travel and express. Figure out answers to some questions and ask more questions.

*What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?*Regret speaking bluntly. No major, regrets, though.

*If you were to be stuck at a particular time in your life, which one would you choose and why?*
I miss being a child. I miss speaking whatever I felt like without being judged for it.

*Do you get tired living life?*
Not really. But I am not sure if I would want to be an immortal.

*What method do you cherish above all others, as means to improving your life?*
Be more critical of yourself than others. Stop being very judgmental which ultimately leads to fewer expectations from others, which is a positive thing I believe.

*What one thing would you NEED to have on a deserted island if you didn't have to worry over food and water? *
Perhaps some company. A good friend.

*If you were a king/queen for a day, what would you do?*
Hey teachers, leave these kids alone!

*What’s the stupidest forum argument you’ve ever had?*
Don't really remember. There ought to be some, though.

*What song is in your head at the moment?*
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-S8CC3NCzdA
    (Yaar Glassy)

*Which book are you reading at the moment?*
    Re-reading autobiology of Agatha Christie's.

    *What is your favourite quote?*
I believe when a thing is said and well-said, don't hesitate and take it, which must show I can't possibly have one favourite. But I think I quite like this one:

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

    and

"Some love too little, some too long,
    Some sell, and others buy;
Some do the deed with many tears,
    And some without a sigh:
For each man kills the thing he loves,
Yet each man does not die."

    *Favorite avatar on the Forum?*
Sorry if it sounds rude but I really like my own the best.

    *Favorite threads?*
Some thread about quotes from the book you are presently reading.

    What's your favorite sandwich?
If you make it for me, I am sure it is going to be delicious

*What is your answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything?*
    Greet the day.

*Who are some of the nicest people you met on LitNet?*
Nice? I have met some really evil people on litnet who I have grown very fond of!

*First novel you remember reading on your own?*
Some Urdu novel you wouldn't have heard of.

*What era do you find most of the books you read are from?*
Not one, specifically. I read anything; from classics to *gasps* Twilight *gasps*

*Last words you said out loud?*
Don't really remember. I have been pretty quiet tonight.

    *Last person you hugged/kissed?*
    Don't really remember.

*What do you do (for a living) to be able to keep your LitNet addiction going? And are you happy with your chosen profession?*
I still pester my parents for money. But I wish I could return it soon somehow.

*What would you like to be if you could change your profession?*
Anything but a student. I think it could be nice to earn on one's own.

*Which one of the seven dwarves are you and why?*
Dopey. Being silly is a liberty I wish I could afford.

*What is your most outstanding feature?*
    Not sure.

*If you could change one thing about the way you look, what would that be?*
I am fine with how I look.

*What book would you recommend to others of all types and ages as a must read?*
    A Bridge To Terabithia.

*What should you be doing at the moment instead of answering these questions?*
    Sleeping.

    *Favorite movie?*
    The Pianist.

    *Last movie you watched?
    The Stoning of Sorayya M.

    B]Do you want to buy a banana?[/B]
    Nope.

    *Bowie, yay or nay?*
    YAY!

*Are you mostly happy with life or are you still in pursuit?*
If I can be happy with life while still being in pursuit, I think I would pick that.

*Tell us something scandalous about yourself.*
Like making faces at little children when their mothers aren't looking?

*How long did it take you to answer all of these questions?*
    Approximately fifteen-twenty minutes. Didn't count.

    *Are you currently intoxicated?*
    I am high as hell.

    *When will you pay Whifflingpin?*
I thought Whifflingpin was the one who had to pay me.

*One final word of wisdom for LitNet users?*
Never underestimate the power of a smile, kind word or a hug.

*What question would you like to ask to the person to be interview after you?
If I were a gloomy clown, what would you be?
    ~
"It is not that I am mad; it is only that my head is different from yours.”

A bit too improper for any young lady with fine upbringing, don't ya reckon?
I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew.
