At least you have ovens. I'm paying a very high price for not calling a professional-I needed to replace. a broken bake element and we asked my son's friend to do it. He is very competent, but he had never done this before. He made the attempt, without unplugging the stove, and WHOMP! A flash of light, a loud noise-I'm just so glad he didn't electrocute himself, but now the wires in the back of the stove are meted-kind od like the wicked witch of the west.
A little longer in the oven, I think, papaya.

If it's a really heavy bread the timing can be kind of tricky. It can be easy to end up with burnt on the outside and mush on the inside. I'm with Qim on longer baking time, but you may want to turn the temp down a bit, too. Or try making muffins instead of a loaf. they cook faster.
I turned down the temp just a bit and baked it longer, it came out pretty good.

Good to hear. I've been toying around with some baking myself and had to do the same with cookies. I am working to develop some gluten free recipes that don't taste crummy, so it is a huge experiment
On another random note, do any of you have issues finding jeans to fit? I tend to run tiny in the waist with wider hips... basically think the typical hourglass shape and you have me. The only issue is that the only jeans I've found are difficult to find in smaller sizes. I'm looking at Levis curve id jeans in the bold curve, but the size 8 isn't something I can find at the store. Anyone have any better suggestions of brands that may fit well and still hold up to constant wear?
If you can't find them in the store, can you possibly find them online?

I found them online, but they're about $50 a pair. If I only needed one or two not a huge deal, but I need 5+ :frown: They seem to go on sale in the store, but not so much online. I swear I hate buying jeans!
That is a discouraging amount. I'm out of ideas. Sorry, LL.
I really, really, really do not want to get up these days. Suggestions, anybody?

Multivitamins have helped me. All the issues I've had over the past few years were directly tied to my diet. Removing things that gave my system problems and adding a multivitamin helped a ton. The only catch is that I'm taking higher end vitamins. The store bought ones don't seem to work, but I've been taking Shaklee ones, and I've had great success.
The best and cheapest place I have found for jeans s Old Navy. I know, but I buy them for work. They run ~ $30 but a couple times a year go on sale for $15.95. When they are on sale I'll go in and buy 5-10 pairs. Seriously, after a few months at work my jeans look like I step in a way back machine and I'm heading to the Motley Crue concert in my ripped up jeans.

Thanks Papaya! I'll have to try theirs on. We don't have an Old Navy at the mall here, so I likely didn't hit that store. I must have tried 10 different stores and 50+ different brand and style combinations, and still I couldn't find ones to fit right. If they fit in the hips I have 2-3 inches of extra material in the waist. If the waist fits, I look like I have sausage casings on my hips and thighs![]()
I'm short, but VERY hourglass. I finally got a pair of the curve id jeans in the mail, and they fit perfectly. I'm thinking they're worth the price, and I'll just order them from Amazon. They don't have all the spandex in them that most jeans have now, so I just hope they hold up well to make it worth the price. They're 99% cotton 1% spandex, so I'm thinking they should last for some time.
Those are cute, but I would go for these...
Too cute!
