    Talking Happy Birthday, Claes!

Appears like everybody is celebrating your birthday!
    Have a good one!
I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew.

Happy Birthday mate. The last time I saw you on, you posted some pics of a rock concert you'd been to.

Happy Birthday (and merry Christmas, which I'm sure you're used to hearing together)!

Thank You all... Yes, it is quite convenient to have your birthday on a holiday: You are always off work.

Happy birthday! (can't help thinking of your mother umpteen years ago, slaving away and missing her Chistmas party...)

I always have such inappropriate thoughts...

Well... I have been told that my aunt actually said something along those lines: "Doggone kid, messing up the Christmas party...".

    Anyway: Thank You all. /Claes

    Happy Birthday, Claes!

    An interview with ClaesGefvenberg:

*Why are we doing this interview thing?*
Same procedure as every year, James... (Quote from Dinner for one)

*Are you sure you want to do this?*
    I am... probably....

    Why would you want that?
Oh, let's get on with it, shall we?

    *So, how old are you?*
At least 18992 days and 12 hours by the time this is published.

*If you had a personal theme song what would it be?*
Well... There is this Swedish song about a bloke who follows his whims...

*Are you male or female? *
    Yes...

*If you owned the site, what would you change?*
Nothing much. I like it the way it is...

*What was the inspiration for your LitNet username? And if you could change it today, what would you pick?*
Well... You will have to ask my parents... They made the choice without asking me, after all....

    *Which countries have you visited?*
Norway, Denmark, Finland, Britain, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Tunisia, Algeria, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Thailand, Kenya, Tanzania... and this year: Malta.

    *Which languages do you speak?*
My native Swedish of course, English, French and German in roughly that order. I usually manage to understand the other Scandinavian languages to a fair degree.

*If you could live somewhere different, where would it be and why?*
I have done a fair bit of travelling, and I seem to like most places I visit.

Have you heard the news today, oh boy?
Certainly. I am a news junkie...

    *Do you have any pets?*
That would be my wife and daughter, I suppose? maybe not, but the neighbours cat assumed ownership of us a couple of years ago. Then he upgraded his reign to dictatorship, and made us follow his slightest whim. Now he seems to go for devine status. Are all cats like that???

    *What makes you happy?*
The trio mentioned above, positive people, a pretty scenery, a task well done… and a good book.

*Do you feel comfortable in your walk with God/atheism? *
    Absolutely.

*Which actor should play you in a movie based on your life?*
    A handsome one

    Who is your favourite Beatle?
    Paul.

*How do you like your coffee? *
I'll have to admit that I am not really a coffee person, so it would be milk with coffee in it....

*Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?*
Last year I picked a bear due to the hibernation opportunity,

What did you want to be when you grew up?
Oh, just about anything I could think of. Being a quality Engineer never entered my mind, though, and that is what I am today.

*What's the biggest fish you've ever caught?*
There was this pike, about half a meter in length, but I have no idea about the weight.

*What makes you feel great about yourself?*
A creative solution to a sticky problem. If it is far out of the box, I will like it even better.

*How did you meet your significant other?*
At work. Apart from her, that place was pretty useless.

*What are you naturally good at? (Skills, abilities, gifts etc.)*
Most of the time I seem to be able to whip computers into obedience, coach people and solve problems.

*What is the one thing you must do before you die?*
    Just one? That won't do...

*If you had to teach something, what would you teach?*
I do teach: Quality engineering and improvement techniques.

*What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?*
Anything not done to the best of my ability.

*If you were to be stuck at a particular time in your life, which one would you choose and why?*
A time when you are really able to reap the benefits of previous efforts.

*Do you get tired living life?*
How could I? There are interesting things happening all the time.

*What method do you cherish above all others, as means to improving your life?*
Keeping my mind open, and always trying to think outside the box.

*What one thing would you NEED to have on a deserted island if you didn't have to worry over food and water? *
I said a boat last year, but that is silly: Could I have an aeroplane, please?

*If you were a king/queen for a day, what would you do?*
Abdicate asap. Being a king has never been an ambition of mine (not to mention being a queen!)

*What’s the stupidest forum argument you’ve ever had?*
I'm not sure I've had any forum arguments? At the very least I try not to. I love discussions, though.

*What song is in your head at the moment?*
    Dia De Enero - Shakira

*Which book are you reading at the moment?*
Tomorrow times seven by Frederik Pohl. This particular copy was printed in 1959... and so was yours truly.

    *What is your favourite quote?*
Hanlons razor: "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity

Which comedians or cabaret artists do you like?
    Peter Sellers

    *Favorite avatar on the Forum?*
    Clearly Virgils wolf

    *Favorite threads?*
    Pictures taken by you.

    What's your favorite sandwich?
    Ham & Cheese

*What is your answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything?*?
I would have to consult the Deep Thought too answer that one.

Who are some of the nicest people you met on LitNet?
I would prefer not to single anyone out, but I can say that most people here are very nice.

What is the limit of your credibility?
I believe I am quite incredible at times...

    *Favorite poem?*
    Sonnet 18 - Shakespeare

*First novel you remember reading on your own?*
Lost in the veils of time, I am afraid.

*What era do you find most of the books you read are from?*
They are from all over the timeline.

    *Favorite TV shows?*
Shows... Maybe Mythbusters or Top Gear, but I usually go for documentaries
*Which Forum members would you like to meet in person?*
    All of you.

*Last words you said out loud?*
    Sov gott...

    *Last person you hugged/kissed?*
    Wifey.

*What do you do (for a living) to be able to keep your LitNet addiction going? And are you happy with your chosen profession?*
I am a quality Engineer, and I think that suits me just fine.

*What would you like to be if you could change your profession?*
    Filthy rich...

    Sleepy... At the moment.

I prefer to see something I recognise in the mirror.

The one bringing in the most $.

*What book would you recommend to others of all types and ages as a must read?*
    Verbal Judo by George Thompson

    For once: Nothing much.

I don't have one, and even if I did I would change my mind tomorrow.

    *Last movie you watched?
    Brazil.

*How are you going to pick just one favourite painting?*
That would be nigh on impossible.

    *Favorite painting?*
    Monets Water lilys.

    Bowie, yay or nay?
    Aye...

    *Wonderful Superman or depressing Batman?*

A couple of friends committed suicide when I was young....

If you could relive one moment in your life whenever you wanted to, what would it be?

    Roughly 20 minutes

    Are you currently intoxicated?
    Nope.

    *When will you pay Whifflingpin?*
Errrrr. Ask him to put it on my slate.

*One final word of wisdom for LitNet users?*
