    Happy Birthday, Annamariah :)

    Wishing a very happy birthday
to a person whose willingness for conversation
can hardly ever be marred or matched, regardless of subject.

Her heart is played like well worn strings; in her eyes the sadness sings; of one who was destined for better things.

    Happy birthday!
One has to laugh before being happy, because otherwise one risks to die before having laughed.

Thank you Max and everyone else! I've had a nice birthday, though it's still hard to believe I'm already 23 years old! 0

    Happy birthday!
"I should only believe in a God that would know how to dance. And when I saw my devil, I found him serious, thorough, profound, solemn: he was the spirit of gravity- through him all things fall. Not by wrath, but by laughter, do we slay. Come, let us slay the spirit of gravity!" - Nietzsche

Happy Birthday, Anna! May you have all the happiness of the world!
I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew.

    Happy Belated Birthday, Annamariah!

    An interview with Annamariah:

*Why are we doing this interview thing?*
Because I'm one year older again.

*Are you sure you want to do this?*
    Sure.

    Why would you want that?
Maybe I've got nothing better to do...

    *So, how old are you?*
    23.

*If you had a personal theme song what would it be?*
I've thought about this quite a lot, but I can't choose just one song. There are so many great songs out there, fitting some situation or another, but I still haven't found that one song that would be totally "me".

*Are you male or female? *
    Female.

    *Do you like red cars?*
I prefer blue or silver, but then again, if the car was otherwise great, I wouldn't care that much about the colour.

*If you owned the site, what would you change?
    *

I would do something about the numerous sub-forums related to certain authors. There are so many of them that I never really remember to check whether there's something interesting going on in some of them.

*What was the inspiration for your LitNet username?*
I was very uncreative and just combined my first name, middle name and the first letter of my last name.

    *Which countries have you visited?*
Sweden, Denmark, Estonia and the UK. I've only been outside Finland three times in my life.

    *Which languages do you speak?*
    Finnish, English, Swedish and Russian.

*How do you like your home town?*
    I love Helsinki.

*If you could live somewhere different, where would it be and why?*
I don't really want to move anywhere from Finland or even from Helsinki.

    *Do you have any pets?*
No, I'm allergic to pretty much all the animals.

    *What makes you happy?*
    Friends.

*Do you feel comfortable in your walk with God/atheism? *
Yes. I've been a practising Christian my whole life.

*Which actor should play you in a movie based on your life?*
My life still isn't interesting enough to turn into a movie.

*How do you like your coffee? *
    I don't drink coffee.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
    A teacher or a librarian.

*What's the biggest fish you've ever caught?*
Probably some small perch. I haven't tried fishing since I was a kid.

*What makes you feel great about yourself?*
    Succeeding in something.

*How did you meet your significant other?*
I didn't. Maybe some day I will... or not.

*What are you naturally good at? (Skills, abilities, gifts etc.)*
I have a good memory and some mathematical talent, so I've always had good grades at school. I also have some musical talent.

*What is the one thing you must do before you die?*
    To live.

    *Is there a selfless act?*
    I want to believe so.

*If you had to teach something, what would you teach?*
    Finnish or English.

*What would you regret not fully doing, being or having in your life?*
I'd regret it if I hadn't tried my best.

*If you were to be stuck at a particular time in your life, which one would you choose and why?*
I was pretty happy when I was seventeen and when I'd just turned eighteen. I'm not sure whether I'd like to be a teenager forever, though. Part of the fun was knowing I had a life ahead of me and imagining what it would be like.

*Do you get tired living life?*
Too often, when it seems like it's not going to get any better.

*Do you have a tasty recipe for life that you could share for a reasonable price? … Is it REALLY tasty?*
    No.

*What method do you cherish above all others, as means to improving your life?*
    Learning.

*What one thing would you NEED to have on a deserted island if you didn't have to worry over food and water? *
    Good company.

*If you were a king/queen for a day, what would you do?*
Probably just sit back and relax, enjoying the luxury, since one can't really change anything in just one day.

*What’s the stupidest forum argument you’ve ever had?*
I usually try to keep out of them.

*What song is in your head at the moment?*
    Pachelbel's Canon in D.

*Which book are you reading at the moment?*
I jus finished reading Mrs Rochester by Hilary Bailey.

    *What is your favourite quote?*
    I don't have one favourite.

    *Favorite avatar on the Forum?*
I'm still not very good at trying to choose just one favourite anything!

    *Favorite threads?*
    Anyone for Coffee?, I guess.

    What's your favorite sandwich?
I miss eating bread so much (damn these allergies)! Especially good Finnish rye bread with just butter on it. I never ate much sandwiches, though.

*What is your answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything?*?
    42, what else?

Who were some of the nicest people you met on LitNet?
    Pensive and Max.

*What are you wearing at the moment?*
Light blue top and pyjama bottoms, I have a day off today.

    *Favorite poem?*
I don't read poetry, but there are many great song lyrics, which are poetry really, aren't they? Still can't choose just one, though.

*First novel you remember reading on your own?*
I can't remember. I was five years old, and I have no idea which was my first "real" novel I read instead of it being read to me.

*What era do you find most of the books you read are from?*
I read a lot of novels set in the 1800s, but only some of them were actually written back then. I guess most of the books I read are written fairly recently, though I read quite a lot of older literature too.

    *Favorite TV shows?*
House M.D., The Big Bang Theory, Top Gear, Heroes, Elisa di Rivombrosa, Mentalist, Gilmore Girls, O.C., ANTM, Survivor... There are so many, and whenever I make a list, I forget something I really like.

*Which Forum members would you like to meet in person?*

*Last words you said out loud?*
"Hei hei" (bye bye) to my flatmate.

    *Last person you hugged/kissed?*
The last person I hugged was probably one of my brothers.

*What do you do (for a living) to be able to keep your LitNet addiction going? And are you happy with your chosen profession?*
I'm studying translation at the university. At the moment I'm working in a local library.

*Would you rather be an educated fool or an ignorant fool?*
Maybe as an ignorant fool I wouldn't realise how foolish I was and would be happier?

*What would you like to be if you could change your profession?*
I haven't really started working as a translator yet, and I'm very happy working in a library, so I don't need a change yet.

*Which one of the seven dwarves are you and why?*
With all these allergies I'd probably be Sneezy. I often feel like Sleepy, too.

*What is your most outstanding feature?*
    My eyes.

*If you could change one thing about the way you look, what would that be?*
I'd very much like a healthy skin.

*Which book do you wish you had written?*
Any book I like, I guess.

*What book would you recommend to others of all types and ages as a must read?*
The Bible, at least in any Christian countries, because even if you don't believe in God, reading the Bible and understanding Christianity helps understanding the culture.

*What should you be doing at the moment instead of answering these questions?*
    I should write a couple of scouting-related e-mails.

    *Describe your ideal day, please.*
Free time, good company, something good to eat, no pain or itching.

    *Favorite movie?*
Still can't pick just one! I love The Phantom of the Opera (2004), Pride and Prejudice (2005) and dozens of other movies.

    *Last movie you watched?
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Watching young Harrison Ford makes me want to see the original Star Wars trilogy once again.

[*How are you going to pick just one favourite painting?*
I have no idea. As I've said several times already, I'm not good at picking just one anything.

    B]Do you want to buy a banana?[/B]
    No, I'm allergic to bananas.

    *Favorite painting?*
I just told you it's too hard to pick one! If I must, I'll say Queen Blanca by Albert Edelfelt.

    *Wonderful Superman or depressing Batman?*
I really like the two latest Batman movies starring Christian Bale.

*Something you want to forget but you never can?*
Too many moments of my life.

If you could relive one moment in your life whenever you wanted to, what would it be?

I can't come up with any particular moment that would be so much better than the others that I'd want to relive it over and over again.

What is the best thing that happened to you since your last birthday?
Since last year I got this summer job at the library, which was prettty great. But the best thing really that happened one year ago is my current flatmate, I'm really lucky she happened to move here.

*Are you mostly happy with life or are you still in pursuit?*
I'm hoping it will get better.

Tell us something scandalous about yourself.
I'm so boring I don't even have any skeletons in my closet.

*How long did it take you to answer all of these questions?*
I didn't look at the time when I started. A while, I guess.

I'd rather say you've been outstandingly decent, which is rare to find these days and nonetheless commendable
