lol. Sounds awesome, because who hasn't wanted to do that?
The recipe I tried ended up tasting very much like carrot cake, but with raisins.
Kinky.
Anyway...
I was talking to my manager and colleague (both men) and a female colleague, and we were discussing training we went on. The lady who who lectured had the most distracting hair (and vpl)...it was so distracting that I had trouble focussing on the lecture at times. I kept thinking about who much I wanted to teach her how to do her hair correctly, etc. The men were so surprised to find out how distracted I was by her hair. However, the woman had the same reaction I did.
Why do you think it was so distracting? Why should I care if her hair looks funny? But I just couldn't help myself staring the whole time...
What did it look like? :yikes: I'm sure I would have been distracted, too. Men just don't care. I don't know why we spend billions in the beauty industry when all we really need to do is just show up. :D
She has shoulder length curly hair that she wears straight. So I think what happens is that she blow dries her fringe and then very quickly dries the rest in a rough manner and then she flat irons only the ends to get them straight. But the first few inches from her roots have this weird crinkle cut effect (which bugged me the most), and the rest to the ends are stick straight. On top of that she lightens her dark ash blonde hair, but it's gone very brassy (spelling?) and she hasn't used decent conditioner in years.
It looked like a really bad blonde wig that's not been stored properly.
I sat there thinking of the advice I would give her about the colour, the conditioner, the correct dryer, brush and flat iron and the technique. I had a whole make-over montage running in my head.
Wow. She needs to go see a professional hair stylist pronto, but of course she won't because she thinks she looks awesome.
Your description sounds an awful lot like Phyllis Diller. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mRK5...eature=related
Ok, ladies. Our last post here was two months ago. I noticed the guys talk on theirs every week. So, yeah, I'm a bit jealous. Surely we can do as well as they do. We don't always have to talk about specifically girly stuff, do we? But it would be nice to just chat, without having to chat about a specific thread topic.
So, how was everyone's Christmas? What are your New Year's Eve plans? Any resolutions for 2013?
My Christmas was quiet as my family is small but it was nice. We're in the middle of a heat wave and last night the mosquitoes ate us alive as we welcomed the new year. My resolution is to enjoy this year and complete my next play. What about you qimi?
I'm glad you had a nice Christmas, Delta. It is hard for me to imagine a heat wave right now, even though I lived through one just a few months ago, lol. And we had a rash of West Nile Virus cases, enough that it made the news nationally. It was kind of scary, so I kept the doors and windows closed during the evening when the mosquitoes come out. So boring.
I had a good Christmas-it was also small and quiet. I'm drinking wine and watching movies tonight. And for the new year I want to keep learning Chinese (fingers crossed), continue with my Chinese calligraphy, my watercolor classes, and I would also like to write more regularly.
I hope you finish your second (!) play, Delta. I have thought in the past of writing a screenplay, but a) I don't think I have the stamina to write something that long, and b) I don't feel at all that I can write convincing dialogue.
I also want to walk more and do yoga and, in general, be perfect....ah, aspirations!
Hi ladies. I just dropped in to say, Happy New Year!
I went to a rockin’ party last night. I wore my favorite striped shirt.

New Year’s resolution: learn how to talk to girls.
Lol Sancho you look pretty lost (but no gun thankfully!!!) Is that really you?
Heh heh - I didn't think so. But for the sake of the nation's safety, all young men should learn how to talk to girls...
hehehe .
What a New Year Eve!!
The current went off so I went to bed from 8 .
 Oh, if I only knew then what I knew now., .'course I looked more like him than that rockin' girl in the short dress...sigh (:D)(actually that's true, though :D)
At least you start out the new year rested, Caddy! Now I'm going back to bed, perchance to sleep; at the very least I get to be very lazy.
:lol::lol::lol:
HaHa good idea Qimi. Anybody watch the bowl games on new years day? Me Neither!
lol. I watched a few minutes of the Orange Bowl. Does that count?
Ok Bowl games. Lawn bowls? C'mon! Over here everyone is raving about the cricket....
Do they really still play Cricket? So two centuries ago! I kid, Delta. I would love to watch a game of Cricket. I would even love to play a game. The only thing I know about it is a scene from the movie Hope and Glory which was hysterical and made it look like so much fun.

If we have to choose one of those, I vote for the last one... Though I have to admit that I cannot see them all that clearly on my phone.
:p
Nahh, I was just looking for opinions. what can't they make sandals that are comfortable AND cute???? Why can't the Clarks and Born people borrow a designer from Calvin Klein for the afternoon????
How about these, Papaya?

I like the last ones, too. But I would say on the whole, at least for me, comfort and fashion are two mutually exclusive ideas. Sorry. Although people who like it don't seem to think so.
Oh my, those are something. Are they comfortable Qimi?
What about these

They comein black as well.
Those are cute, I think. I was just kidding with the ones I suggested. Actually, they look quite comfortable, although I doubt they look very good with a dress or a pantsuit.
haha, but for grocery shopping they might be ok!
Either way I think I'd better log off and spend some time on my feet if I don't want to scare people this summer.
*Knocks politely*
Hello?
Hiya Scher! Good question! I can't believe how much time has gone by!
The forums look so different, and so many of the regulars are gone, by the looks of things.
Yeah, it's going to take me a while to get used to the changes too. I miss the old profile designs, I used to put time into making them pretty.
Hey guys! Yeah, it's taking some getting used to...it's so busy!
Hey! Hi, Classic, JW, and Pip!!
ok,one more pair:

I think those are cute,papaya.
I like those too, they're a sandal I'd actually wear. I don't like most sandals, but they look cute and comfortable.
What about these, Papaya?

I'm on a budget, or I would check them out, myself. Maybe I will anyway. They are Clark's. But they look cute and comfortable.
Those last ones are cute, Papaya.
I'm not a fan of wearing sandals, personally. I find straps really uncomfortable.
