You've probably heard about the former Chinese tradition of binding womens' feet. Luckily, it's forbidden now. Strange, how fashions tend to obstruct womens' ability to walk properly, be it this custom of binding feet, or shoes that seem to originate from medieval torture chambers.

I love home remedies even if half the time they dont work. Been eating pickled onions for my cough recently, not sure if its working of if I'm getting over the cough, but definately interesting to try at least!
Cucumber slices! I know it sounds really "Day at the spa" cliche, but they do work. Also, a cosmetic company called LUSH makes fresh face masks, and rubbing some of the mask under your eye really helps with dark circles as well.Quote:

LUSH are amazing! Their products, I love them. I've been to the original store as well :D Also, I tend to get a lot of dry skin and LUSH stuff is good for that, as is Goats milk... I love my goats milk moisturiser.Quote:

God first time I tried dying my hair... I didnt realise 'Temporary' means 'Permanent' if you're dying darker than you're hair colour and my hair went from light brown to almost black for months!Quote:

Well Iguess I will have to go back to what I did when I was last living here and they didnt have bras that fit me... binding! Nightshade, if I may offer advice about the hair...go blue... Pink has a tendency to turn purple on top... while you have it in its nice and pretty pink than wash and you have purple hair...deff. one for the pros. blue is pretty easy to controll thou :D just dont go cookie monster.
A friend of mine went straight for a dark purple, looked gorgeous. Another friend is vividly pink but she has to maintain that colour a lot more than most :PQuote:

I have a student who is a hairdresser and claims that Head&Shoulder shampoo is excellent to strip off any unwanted dye from the hair but I haven't tried it myself.

I'm trying to decide what to do with my own. I'm going to go and have it chopped short and spiky again (it has gotten a bit shaggy), but I really kind of want to dye it. I just don't know what color to go with. I used to be blond, but my hair has darkened to a shade that isn't blond while stubbornly not being brown as well. I was considering black with red tips, but I don't know how well that will go over in the office :lol: It's a pretty relaxed place, but having black hair with red tips that I spike each day may not be the look to go for. Any ideas???

I don't do fun things like that with my hair haha. It's never been touched by die, and has never been above my shoulders. It's kind of my security blanket, but every now and then I get the urge to cut it all off. I think I'd cry if I actually did tough.
Black with red tips would be awesome! But going black then bleaching the ends to go red is a lot of effort, why not just go black :D
