I'm thinking we should get rid of the birthday calendar and us it to track our cycles..:Angel_anim:

I like these:

:smilielol5:
Oh, that's so so bad. I can't even believe how bad those shoes are. It's hard to believe they are for real.
Can women really walk in those? They look like the ones in Lady Gaga's videos...eeek...pain....eekk
For those feet, right?

eeewww! those are awful!!
You've probably heard about the former Chinese tradition of binding womens' feet. Luckily, it's forbidden now. Strange, how fashions tend to obstruct womens' ability to walk properly, be it this custom of binding feet, or shoes that seem to originate from medieval torture chambers.
Oh yeah i know of that, i was on about the shoes! Those are awful!
I was wondering what would happen to the feet that go into those kind of shoes but Lulim has already brought it up.
If you spend $750 on those shoes, then you would have to spend at least $1,750 on your outfit as well (and post a picture on here too! :D)
Now, what kind of outfit would complete them?
On a different note, I have the worst dark circles under my eyes... Any remedies?
cold used tea bags and lots and lots of makeup!
Me either, really. How about get more sleep? I get circles when i'm tired. My kids get circles when they are sick. Do you have a cold?

I love home remedies even if half the time they dont work. Been eating pickled onions for my cough recently, not sure if its working of if I'm getting over the cough, but definately interesting to try at least!
Thanks for all the recommendations.
I think my main problem is that I am perpetually sleep-deprived. :-/
I will give teabags and cucumber slices a try (as they are readily available at home).
Thanks once again for all the replies :)
My response is usually "chug down some caffine and don't look in the mirror", but I know I'm not a normal female... :D
I'm still working on the "total" ensemble.
Robot's get dark circles?Quote:

OK, I'm about to do a bad thing. I'm going to dye my hair!! :yikes: Wish me luck. Last time I left it on too long and my hair was far too dark.
Those shoes look a bit like dinosaur feet... I know!

Just cut the pants off just below the knee. You'd be the most fashionable, accident-prone, capri-wearing brontosaurus in town!
lol Jun!
Papaya! Let us know how it goes!
God first time I tried dying my hair... I didnt realise 'Temporary' means 'Permanent' if you're dying darker than you're hair colour and my hair went from light brown to almost black for months!
Then I grew it out, that was amusing because my hair is over a metre in length! Took 3 years to get the dyed hair all cut off!! :eek2:
Well Iguess I will have to go back to what I did when I was last living here and they didnt have bras that fit me... binding! Painful because it limits the amount of breath you can draw in, and it takes ages too wrap and layer and pin every morning but effective in the short run. And I only have 10 weeks left and if push comes to shove I can attemppt to repair the damaged ones.
I Recenntly got a hair cut ( only my 3rd professional cut in 12 years) I loved it at first but now I am not so sure. MY hair was nearly waist long and I got waht was supposed to be an inverted bob with the back almost shaved but I discovered that the hairdresser just brushed it to hide the uneve mess she made. ANd now my hair has gone from bein brittle and dry to constatly greasy...*sigh*
But what I am still tempted to do is get a real BeccaT inspired hair do like Ive always wanted (and because it is so cheap at this hairdressers is get my hair bleeached white and then streaked hot pink and whatever the blue is called basically the colours I am wearing in the photgraph from the library...http://www.online-literature.com/forums/blog.php?b=8340
but I am not sure... :troll:
I think thats a sky blue...
Thise pictures just made me remember how much weight i've put on. :( I really need to start loosing weight!
Nightshade, if I may offer advice about the hair...go blue... Pink has a tendency to turn purple on top... while you have it in its nice and pretty pink than wash and you have purple hair...deff. one for the pros. blue is pretty easy to controll thou :D just dont go cookie monster.
Juniper!1!!1! That's absolutely brill!!! OMG! Was that your outfit for your prom???
:pMany moons ago, for about a year, I had purple highlights. It looked quite good (I am a natural dark-head) - though depending on the shade it can turn towards red as well.
I love purple hair... But, all said and done, my favorite is electric blue!
Papaya> How did it all go? I always dye my own hair without much complication (apart from the time I tried to add highlights :goof:).
I have a student who is a hairdresser and claims that Head&Shoulder shampoo is excellent to strip off any unwanted dye from the hair but I haven't tried it myself.
I have the perfect handbag for that outfit!:cornut:
I think it went ok. I've been at work for 3 hours and nobody has commented.
I would love electric blue hair but I think I may be too old at this point. :bawling:
You're never to old for electric blue hair :D
I'm trying to decide what to do with my own. I'm going to go and have it chopped short and spiky again (it has gotten a bit shaggy), but I really kind of want to dye it. I just don't know what color to go with. I used to be blond, but my hair has darkened to a shade that isn't blond while stubbornly not being brown as well. I was considering black with red tips, but I don't know how well that will go over in the office  It's a pretty relaxed place, but having black hair with red tips that I spike each day may not be the look to go for. Any ideas???
Agreed!Quote:

We'd need a pic of your face to help you out Meg!
I don't do fun things like that with my hair haha. It's never been touched by die, and has never been above my shoulders. It's kind of my security blanket, but every now and then I get the urge to cut it all off. I think I'd cry if I actually did tough.
Black with red tips would be awesome! But going black then bleaching the ends to go red is a lot of effort, why not just go black :D
Oh!!! I know, I know!
That outfit would be perfect for bridemaids! That outfit, the shoes you posted and the handbag!
I hope someone from LitNet gets married so that we can go dressed up like that to their wedding!
*clears throat and assumes a serious tone*
Of course, I wonder what the post-modern Feminist interpretation of such an outfit would be, as well!
Maybe we can dye our hair electric blue for the Forum meet-up???
