A Ramble through Smilie Land

So some pictures. Not all that many but a few.
So Niamh arrived, we lazed about some then
Koa arrived.



We had Niamhie Burgers but we forgot to take pictures before I inhaled them. Oh and we had LOTS of tea, and some triple choclate brownies.

Friday morning Breakfast Niamh and Nightie style ( tea and Night shade smoothies)



Then we were off on the adventures...

First stop central library.



where we had Tea in the cafe. ( we don't think we saw Fifth)





Then onwards through Library Walk



towards Old John Rylands (which I didnt know exsisted until Koa told me thursday evening).



Gorgeous building (and possibly the oldest fragment of the New testement approx 125AD but is a guesstiomate based on writing style no carbon dating).



Onwards once more towards Cathedral and Chetham library . (which was closed for lunch) so we lounged around Cathedral gardens and saw old pubs.

And played camera war ( not the best game Ive ever played but quite good)





Before moving back to ST Ann's Square.



Then chetham at last more than worth the wait. But no pictures due to a profusion of annoying school kids in the way which stopped me form being able to take pictures


Rush rush rush then . Into Rice Resteraunt in Picadilly ( can I just say the food is GORG!!)

Then home again home again licktysplit.

Ready for WE WILL ROCK YOU!!

It was cold it was wet and it was rainy! But the play was GRAND!!!


This moring I was an idiot and the only thing we ended up doing was going to the Curry mile with Koa again, and eating at Falafel!! Lovley food even if we did suffer as a result.

    Great pictures. Koa is with you? What's gone on with her? She doesn't stop here any longer.

    That library looks awesome. Very impressive. You all look great and seem to be having a lot of fun.

    Yeah My landlady was Koa's land lady first, Im fairly sure shes grand, she keeps telling me she will get round to stopping by eventually buts she sort of busy.
    Posting her pic means she has to come see though! Its all part of the plan

    Cool pictures Nighty! No, you didn't see me, sadly. I did pop into Central Library on Friday but left pretty quickly after bumping into my new 'friend' Moses who thinks I should leave my husband for him. Not cool. Looks like you had a good day. Did you go into the John Rylands Library? It is the most stunning building, the reading room is blissful.

    I forgot to mention best Icecream and cake on the curry mile MOONLIGHT!
    Havent eaten the cake yet because we were too full. but its LOVLEY stuf!!

    Wow! That all looks like so much fun. And oh my gosh you had to mention brownies! Now I feel like brownies! And that all reminds me of my friends plan for a group of us to go book shopping this week... I wonder if he's planned it properly yet

    Went past the books tsall of the guy who really has no idea what hes got. Got The poetical works of Tenyyson the 1899 Albion edtion for wait for it... 3 quid!

    But, here's the question: did you go in the toilets at the John Rylands library? They are a key part of the tour. Hey, and there's an ace exhibition on about the sonnet at the moment too. And it's where Carol Ann Duffy accepted the poet laureateship.
    I'm definitely checking out that bookstall-man!
