Vacuums just do nothing for me, I hate floor care! I can't explain it but all forms of floor care, be it vacuuming or sweeping or what have you, inspires something akin to rage. :lol: Now if you show me a new, fancy washer/dryer, I'd be happy as a clam...a new vacuum would just remind me that someone needs to actually use it. :p
No, only your practicality. Just once I'd love to find a lightweight vacuum with a strong motor that didn't break down in two years! I hate going to bed with the feeling that I've got a whiplash everytime I vacuum and mop the house.Quote:

Vacs have a short but happy life in my house too - I think I bring about their premature demise by using them to pick up things they are not designed to swallow - one died after being force-fed plaster chippings after some redecorating...Quote:

Does anybody else go on weird shopping trips? Every so often when I'm tired or something is on my mind and I'll go shopping for like one thing and I'll come out with the weirdest stuff. I've been at work a lot this weekend so on my way home today I stopped for milk I came out with, among other things: Tomato Soup, Milk, and a Video Game. Nothing weird about that except I don't like Tomato Soup and the video game is not my usual fare. One time I cam home with the Harry Potter books..
EDIT: I can't even play my video game, it's taken me an hour to get passed the first small section.
All the time. Weird shopping trips are what my life is made of. I went to the health food store to buy food and left with an Alex Grey calendar, who is the artist who did some of the artwork for Nirvana's In Utero. I also got a Yoga magazine and some incense and some candles...Quote:

and I got a set of carved owl bookends from Marshalls for way cheap on clearance and I have them in my living room and between them I have this years favorite reads (books on spiritual stuff that I've been reading). And at Barnes and Noble they had a green Gufo Picolo alabaster owl paperweight and I have it next to my book ends.
none of that is related to purses. but would getting an owl purse be taking it too far?
Those are some brightly colored purses, papaya. It's usually brown or black for me, but I liked that last one.

I liked the first one, papaya, but not in yellow... but that's because I don't do yellow, if people do it then fine... although it's hard to match methinks... I'm a matching freak.
My bags are black or purple, well the purples are almost all presents, people know it's easy to make me happy with anything purple. But I use blacks mostly, they go with everything, purple only goes with 50% of my clothes :D
I have to say I like the second and third ones the best. I normally go for oversized tote like bags. Heaven forbid that I couldn't carry a laptop, notebook, reading book, snack for the kids, and all the other necessary items around at one time:D
I usually buy really cheap Target purses and that way I can buy a lot...and often :D...but there was this one purse, brown leather with these really cool gold rings on them that I spent $75 or 80 on and I thought myself so clever. However...those dang rings jingled! It drove me nuts! Jingle, jingle, jingle all the live long day...it is now hanging in my closet. :pQuote:

I've noticed that also, Kasie. When I have a larger purse, everyone wants me to carry wallets, papers, water bottles... I come home with back strain!
I like the medium sized purse; but everything falls to the bottom. I've taken to the habit of carrying little ziplocs in the bag; but now I confuse the ziplocs...
Sometimes I buy purses with compartments, but the fabric ones tear quickly...
