Not bad (though not something I would listen to on my own): 7/10.

You listen to some great music, scher. 8/10.
Canadian classic:

Wow, that was awesome. Reminds me a little bit of Kate Bush. 9/10

(I post the song that happens to be playing on my Ipod so got lucky probably! :p)
I love the one you posted, Juniper! 9/10 (Is that a tango?)
*edit*
Basil's> I simply cannot stand Kate Bush: 1/10! :cold:
One of my favourites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRdyDSbWg7w

Another Canadian classic, but cut from a different cloth:

I love that song 9.5/10
I guess we can stay in the great white north:

I didn't bother to click the link, I'll just give it a....oh, I don't know, why not a 3?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JC7Q4tIrCbo
Me-ow.:D
As for the song: It got a little to peppy at the end but it was ok. 7.5/10.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iknEJf9cPeY
Haha, I HATE that song... 2/10

This is actually the first Piaf I've heard in English. Her voice is sublime in any language. 8.5/10
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIBq1Jkm7YU
:) 8/10 that was likeable
Here's one....kind of strange to me:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYl0uLrXP7U
What the!?! I've rediscovered this song and been listening to it non-stop the last few days! Freaky. Anyway, 9/10. I love it. Just curious, what do you interpret from the lyrics? Do you go in for the abortion theory?
My turn:

Sorry, I haven't been able to find the video clip one.
Started rather noisy but got better later on: 6/10.

I always thought the Bangles were, er, kind of hot. 8/10.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDN3dnh2Ows
Not much of a fan of country but this one was actually soothing and in fact didn't sing about getting drunk. 6.8/10

Good old Edith 9/10

Very very beautiful. Make me want to go to France right now. Video was a great compilation as well.

Never been a huge fan of that kind of music, 8/10

FGtH!
What's funny is that whenever I listen to music on youtube, I usually put down the video and do something else while I'm listening. Well I brought the video back up like in the middle of the song and was like, "this is the gayest thing I've ever seen!"
As far as the song goes, I've heard it many times before, but never have been keen on the 80's. That said, I still find this song to be a classic and makes me somewhat nostalgic when my step-mom would listen to it when I was a kid.
8/10
Okay here's super-nostalgia for me.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Riw7j9b8fM8
Haha, I think Bonnie Tyler's "Brighteyes" might be the only 80s video to be equally over the top.
Edit: Oh ya, love Phil Collins, Genesis, and Peter Gabriel. You have to love the entry of the drums near the end. 8/10
Now I need to pick something.

Best music video dancing ever.
Haha, well no one gets pissed on in Bonnie Tyler's video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcOxhH8N3Bo
The Bonnie Tyler video, name of the song is "Total Eclipse of the Heart" lol
Oh yeah definitley, that's great. Hmmm I suppose 80's pop is somewhat growing on me.
8.5/10
hmmm. . . . .

Great Dylan song, Rolling Stone magazine's poll put it at the number one song of all time, and it may just be ;) 10/10
http://www.youtube.com/watch#playnex...&v=jElUvFSBa30
Oh yeah, I've heard some of his songs, definitely digg the old folk stuff.
8.7/10
This has been in my head for months, it was the opening music for Eyes Wide Shut.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYhZVqODYsI
Wow, unbelievably - a classic piece which I actually know! :)
I like the smooth sound of it. I find it hard to explain, but especially the first minute the sound is ... is ... soft?! Can you say that about music? I mean soft as in soothing and dreamy. Maybe I better stop talking now - just listen ;)
8/10
Sarah McLachlan - a great songwriter (lyrics!) and singer. Here is one of her less known songs:
Ice
That was awesome - thanks for posting that. I wouldn't have heard it otherwise because I can't bring myself to listen to her for some reason probably because I am only vaguely aware of one release that I didn't like so much.

Tori Amos  Well, she rocks! No question about that. I like Crucify best, but this one is also mesmerising.
8/10
I heard this on CSI NY and I just had to find it
Fever Ray - Keep the Streets Empty for Me
On another day I could easily find this banal. But today, being tired and a little under the weather, I can dig it well enough. 7.3/10.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQvxFMhiL5Q
meh
Sorry, but my taste just doesn't fit with country. 5/10
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JH3O4HSs7g (this is from the French masterpiece Jules et Jim)
EDIT: Ugh I can't believe I posted such a low-quality version of the clip. Here's a much better one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqwLx...eature=related
I would never choose to listen to it regularly haha, but it has a certain charm in the context of the film 6/10
Here's some French Canadian music from the 20s, very folk oriented and different from France's music. Obviously, with much less jazz influence.
http://www.youtube.com/watch#v=2fNFx...eature=related
Haha, I also came across this one from the same singer which is outrageously offensive.
http://www.youtube.com/watch#v=Sp2M1...eature=related
Edit: Haha, not necessary to watch all of them, but I thought this one about Americans coming up during prohibition to drink was kind of cute.
http://www.youtube.com/watch#v=1Q3VM...eature=related
5/10 was too folky for me lol.
(my French isn't very good so I was somewhat oblivious to the outragessness of the second one :S )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tv_DcRYX43o From Mulholland Drive, though unfortunately I can't find an actual clip so it's just the song. Oh well, it's a masterful scene in the film and IMHO Lynch's finest moment.
EDIT: Oh I really like the third one! 8/10
Haha, I normally hate that song in English, but she has a lovely voice. 8/10
http://www.youtube.com/watch#playnex...&v=XXq5VvYAI1Q
Very good 7/10 made me think of this song, familiar to everybody I'm sure:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kNEo8OxrT8
Sure :) There's been a time when I couldn't understand why that song was always so high in those "top 100 of best songs ever". Lately, I start to understand the beauty of it
7/10
Some easy listening rock:
Saving Jane - Imperfection
I especially like the lyrics :)
It started good but somehow did not live up to my expectation: 6/10.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GkVhgIeGJQ
I've noticed that not only am I more critical than most about songs posted here, but I also seem to come in just when Scheherezade has posted, so I appear to be relentlessly snide about her picks.
In this case, I'm pleased to say that I think The Cure are a terrific, if limited, idea and when they first appeared (when I was about nineteen) I really liked Three Imaginary Boys, and then I really disliked The Forest, and after that Robert and I have had a kinduv on-off thing which we've come to understand how to live with. 8/10
Similar era. Incidentally, for unashamed pop music, this is the best bass player since McCartney.
