That must be the same site my friend directed me to yesterday...does it have something to do with Crawler? Once I downloaded one of their cool screensavers; but then it stopped working right and I could not longer get it to install as a screensaver. Probably since I use Explorer and not Firefox.

I think I want to be remembered once I'm gone. It's strange; it's a feeling I seldom had in the past.
How could anyone forget you, Max!? I sure hope you're not going anywhere very soon. That feeling does come with age. I hope they don't forget me. I am hoping I am unique and eccentric enough they would be able to forget me. :D

Never ever pay the shrink anymore. From now on I will handle your condition... in a very unprofessional way, with fully unguaranteed results...
Might you have a psychiatric couch? :brow:hummmm; interesting prospect....

The movie thread, about "Saving Private Ryan". You said that when you had some time, you would post something about that movie on the movie thread :D
Oh yeah, I got side-tracked again and volunteered to be casting director in DanielBenoit's new Shakespeare Youtube production. Hey, Max, you are a ham, how bout joining in? If you don't have a video camera you can just recite you voice playing a role. I am casting director so I can find you a good part. We will make our own beautiful music (movie) together.
But seriously, I need to write up about 10 movies I have seen lately which were truly great. Right now I am watching this cool documentary on James Dean, directed by Robert Altman. Funny, I picked this cheap DVD up a long time ago, for a dollar, and it's really good. The-made-for-TV film, preceeding the documentary, was fairly good, but dated; but this b/w documentary is truly intriguing. What prompted all this was my recent viewing of East of Eden. It was incredible; ever see the film? I will get to writing them up next week. I am still not caught up on some very important email replies, which have to come first.

Very similar we are!
Seems that way. Not only crazy night owls but also we all appreciate art. You can view my artwork right in my album on my profile page. Just click on 'view all albums'....a lot of people don't realise I have about 6 albums of photos in there. I too have worked primarily in pencil and some pen and ink. Anna and my work are similar in that we both like delicate soft pastel pencil and linear elegant line.

Yes, it's one of Fox's latest series. I don't watch that much TV either, but when I find a commendable series I just need to have it. TV series have the benefit of having more time to develop the details of a story. I'm one of those addicts to the seventh art and the like :D
Oh, I love long productions. I meant to ask you if you ever saw the miniseries Shackleton - about the Antarctic explorer. I love that series and researched extensively the real man and have read several books on him. He meet his ship in Buenos Aires; is that anywhere near where you live, Max? I am greatly interesting in that part of the world, especially since it's so close to Antarctica. I just bought the great nature film March of the Penquins, too. When I looked at my globe the other night I just realised how far south Argentina really was...wow, that is so cool!

I look more like an ancient warrior marked by the scars of many battles ....
You sound rugged.....are you the gladiator type? or a bull-fighter. How so with those scars? Are the interior or exterior scars?

Actually I don't pretend every finale to be a happy one, but lately most shows that I learned to love have ended in a sad way and it's getting rather like too much for my poor heart.... it's this feeling of having something stuck in the throat... :(
There really are a lot of open-ended shows of recent and they tend to leave a person with an uneasy feeling...they can be unsettling when watched right before bedtime, even sort of disturbing. I find I wake up thinking about the meaning of the ending. Those type endings are great and real and all but sometimes happy ending are more satisfying.

So you had a movie night with a classic. Last night I had a date with a classic too. I watched the first episode of "Airwolf" (a classical TV series of the 80s) which reminded me of a good time of my childhood. Back then, when I was a kid, it was broadcasted here on Saturday nights and I had never seen these episodes since then. Now I'm getting the whole seasons on DVD, which is the best option always, especially with classics hardly ever broadcasted nowadays :D
Airwolf - I never heard of it and I used to watch films and TV shows with my son from that era. It's so cool how we can get the old series on DVD's now. I buy the ones I really loved as a kid or the older films I liked in the 70, 80's, 90's. I watched House on the DVD set from my library since I don't have cable upstairs. I was curious to see what everyone was raving about. I did find it entertaining since I like Hugh Laurie. I also watched his family series in Britian of 40 Something. It too was great fun. I buy a lot of BBC dramas.
