One of my favorite seasons too.
Here...outside my window the trees are just starting to turn. I notice them each morning in walking Zeus (my dog) and see how every day they change just a bit.
I know that one morning they will seem to instantly change into a wild spectacular burst of fall colors!
Brrrrrr! Where are you Pensive! In the South Arctic?
Actually your temps in Fahrenheit is about 42 degrees.....not too bad!
Here, outside my window it is 59 Fahrenheit.
My sister lives in Arizona and to her 42 degrees F is freezing!
It is interesting the effects our climates have on our bodies. I have found when it starts to get chilly the more cold air I breath in the better I do with adjusting to the colder temps.
Our fall is late here in Maryland.
Outside my window are tomato plants still holding fruit waiting to ripen...and when they do they are soooooo sweet!
Outside my window right now is darkness with a three quarter moon dropping soft beams which will soon guide me and Zeus on our nightly walk.
The most wonderful things is that the crickets are still here...singing their song! It is not the loud mating call they put out in the Spring but a soft, gentle voice of falling off into a fall's rest. That is a nice, soothing sound.
Thank you for sharing what is outside your window.
If you have pictures of what is outside your window ~ please share them.

is this Portuguese?
outside my windoe is a little bird
all night it sings it sings a song
i looked up the word Aucelon and it came up as :
''Aucelon is a commune in the Drôme department in southeastern France.''
then further down the page:
''The word “aucelon” literally means “little bird” in occitan. This is both an allusion to the famous song “Se Canta” and a metaphor''
outside my window some trees forliage is cut down to bare minimum. the road looks almost empty because of the leaves being trimmed.
This is a very interesting thread!
Right now it's night time.
I can see our lovebirds in the cage. The female's sort of nudging the baby bird while I hear them chirping merrily, which is a bit odd since they are usually quiet this time of the night.
Does smelling my perfume count? :D
All these make me feel calm and makes me realise just how lucky I am to have a home and a loving family--just like the lovebirds in the cage.
And how does it make you feel?
Upon her heaving chest draped in midnight she wears a necklace of sparkles and life that takes your breath away. I am mesmerized by her beauty.
Evening walk with my dog, Zeus.
Absolute spectacular! I can see my breath, fallen fall leaves crackle and crunch under my foot steps and other then that there is only silence and the outstanding view of the evening sky.
I wish I could have taken a picture of it to share...the air so clear and crisp....my neck a bit tired from tilting my head back ~ but to be stuck in the shine of twinkling stars! I would never be able to capture the wow of it.
So the least I can do is share it with You in words and hope your imagination can take you there.
The autumn colors are in full swing here.

I can see a beautiful scenery and I can smell the fragrance of flower. Also the crippling of birds. Wow...
outside my window is darkness...a calm since the winds have stopped.
the trees have dropped their leaves and I have much raking to do!
And my gardens needs attention to put them asleep for Winter.
A season of dying,
A time to plant
to be reborn.
I can not dwell in your death,
only your beginning
which will be blessed
by blankets of snow
and harsh winds.
through this you
will nuzzle and grow.
the miracle of
one life ending
begins the birth
of another.
I love trees and outside my bedroom window is something that's either a bush or a tree, I've never been quite sure, but whichever it is it has provided shade and has been lovely to look at all there years. And it, along with my neighbors tree have both provided me many, many leaves to rake.
Here's what's outside today ( December 6)

You have that much snow in Texas? Where I'm at, it is just cold, about 20 degrees F. (The phone says it's 35 degrees, however.)
Pretty scenery, Gilliat! We have that much snow today! I bet this is our big storm for the winter, though. Too bad. I love a good snow day in February.
And your trees still have leaves!
Great images GG! You captured the feeling of cold and nature so well.
Hope you are warm soon.
Outside my window is has been mild for this time of year but that will be changing within the next 48 hours.
It has been dismal with rain and clouds.
I still have leaves to get up off my lawn.
The red maple is beauty in her finest
but leaves much to be desired.

Ice, ice, baby.
Windy...temperatures are dropping....outside my window is a great night for viewing twinkling stars!
I luv the night skies! So peaceful yet so full of life.
The winter sky is gray. We like to sleep,
Tend dreams that warm the weather felt within.
The sun sneaks in the peacefulness of dawn
With some more snow to brighten up the street.
The Polar Voltex has subsided for the weekend and you no longer see your breath in front of your nose. All of the snow has turned to mud and I thought I heard a bird singing this morning. Tomorrow it will be warm as my body has become conditioned to temps in the single digits. One thing about the cold is it creates amazing sunsets up on the hill at the dog park.
Brown trees, a squirrel, and a pond.
Outside my window it is snowing and expecting many inches more...but for now it is prefect..
I sit and watch
with still breath
the snow as it covets
the evergreens,
with winter.
the air is crisp
the night is clean
and the crunch of the snow
beneath mine and Z's steps
brings promises.
this night is peace.
there is a certain silence here
that only souls can here.
and I lift my eyes to the sky.
My university's faculty. I can actually spot a teacher working in his office! :D If I am procrastinating or being lazy all I need to do is look out of the window!
