i looked up the word Aucelon and it came up as :
''Aucelon is a commune in the Drôme department in southeastern France.''

    then further down the page:

''The word “aucelon” literally means “little bird” in occitan. This is both an allusion to the famous song “Se Canta” and a metaphor''
    it may never try

This is a very interesting thread!

    Right now it's night time.

I can see our lovebirds in the cage. The female's sort of nudging the baby bird while I hear them chirping merrily, which is a bit odd since they are usually quiet this time of the night.
    Does smelling my perfume count?
All these make me feel calm and makes me realise just how lucky I am to have a home and a loving family--just like the lovebirds in the cage.
And how does it make you feel?

Almonde....even thou this is not outside your window it is a beauty and warm sentiment that is comforting. Keep posting what moves you as we all have our own version of what is outside your window.

Upon her heaving chest draped in midnight she wears a necklace of sparkles and life that takes your breath away. I am mesmerized by her beauty.

Evening walk with my dog, Zeus.
Absolute spectacular! I can see my breath, fallen fall leaves crackle and crunch under my foot steps and other then that there is only silence and the outstanding view of the evening sky.

I wish I could have taken a picture of it to share...the air so clear and crisp....my neck a bit tired from tilting my head back ~ but to be stuck in the shine of twinkling stars! I would never be able to capture the wow of it.
So the least I can do is share it with You in words and hope your imagination can take you there.

    So where are you Brianadam?

But it must be sad to view & smell such beauty and yet to hear the call of wounded.....
and are you not able to do anything to change it?

outside my window is darkness...a calm since the winds have stopped.
the trees have dropped their leaves and I have much raking to do!
And my gardens needs attention to put them asleep for Winter.

    A season of dying,
    A time to plant
    to be reborn.
I can not dwell in your death,
    only your beginning
    which will be blessed
    by blankets of snow
    and harsh winds.
    through this you
    will nuzzle and grow.
    the miracle of
    one life ending
    begins the birth
    of another.

I love trees and outside my bedroom window is something that's either a bush or a tree, I've never been quite sure, but whichever it is it has provided shade and has been lovely to look at all there years. And it, along with my neighbors tree have both provided me many, many leaves to rake.

You have that much snow in Texas? Where I'm at, it is just cold, about 20 degrees F. (The phone says it's 35 degrees, however.)

Pretty scenery, Gilliat! We have that much snow today! I bet this is our big storm for the winter, though. Too bad. I love a good snow day in February.

And your trees still have leaves!

Great images GG! You captured the feeling of cold and nature so well.
    Hope you are warm soon.

Outside my window is has been mild for this time of year but that will be changing within the next 48 hours.
It has been dismal with rain and clouds.
I still have leaves to get up off my lawn.
The red maple is beauty in her finest
but leaves much to be desired.
