but if this is monitored, then you have given a clue! How about posting it to a friend in a farther state and get them to post it for you!;)
You know you can identify the printers by comparing print...
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. That's it I'm trowing it in the river.
No, there might be fingerprints, I'm throwing it in an acid tank!

Just can't wait to get on the road again"
Have I mentioned I want my bedroom to be as comfy as a nice hotel room? The hotel room I'm in this time has a neat little reading lamp attached to the headboard, I dig it. we'll see how illuminating it is in a bit.

Get one of those anglepoise LED grill lights they sell for BBQ'ing in the dark. It'll be just as good.
question papaya, have you alwasys travelled this much and its only because youve got your own laptop now that we are hearing all about it, or is this a realitivly new development...
Oh hotel rooms Im going to be living in one for the next 3 months... Ill probably never want to come home again.
They have those? BBQ'ing? in the dark? That's kinda messy for the bedroom don't you think?
One of my favorite things is to bring home my leftovers from dinner and have it for breakfast the next day. Last night is no exception. We had Italian and I got Chicken and Spinach Canneloni. This morning I'm ready to dig into my canneloni when I realize I have no utensils. I supposse I could go downstairs and get silverware but that seems like an awful lot of work and i'm not ready to put pants on yet.
so obviously you need to start travelling with utensils...
I thought everyone did that already ?:goof:
Papaya, you should get a swiss army knife if you're going to be traveling a lot. They are absolute crap for hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, survival (you know, the things they were supposedly designed for), but I always find them useful in the car or around the house (or hotel). I think they even have one with a fork!

BBQ'ing in the dark is fun. Nothing is better than a late night Q on a weekend in August. However yes, a little on the smoky side for the bedroom - in general steam is better there;)
The light seems a little to big, the one in my hotel room was like a little pencil light.
New Dilemma. I've been looking at houses. I found one that is under my budget, it's a cute older house but the current owners were in the middle of a redo when they needed to sell. What they did do is really cute just not finished... If I go with this house I'll have to do some remodelling, which I really didn't want to do but it is a little cheaper...
the house may be cheaper but how much work would you have to put into it ?
It may or may not be worth it. Are you talking major work or work that can be done by yourself ?
Location is decent and the neighborhood is cute.
To finished what the current owners have started isn't a lot, mostly cosmetic like painting, and grouting tiles. However, the bathroom was barely touched and if I'm going to complete the bathroom I may as well do it the way I want and if I do that I might as well make a walk in closet in the master bedroom..... ya see my dilemma?
well in that case, good point. If you hire a contractor just make sure you get a reputable one and price around first. Also make sure they are licensed and insured and get everything in writing.
But when you look at the house do you see yourself living there?
Grouting and painting aint bad. To sort that out you can invite friends to a fix it cocktail party, where everyone does a little job in your house and you supply them with cocktails after! :D fun way to solve a little problem. As for a walkin closet. Do you need it right now? or can you wait a while?
hey! Slow down here.
Has it actually got a workable bathroom or would you have to install one asap? If there is one that is in working order, I'd go for it - you'll never find a house that ticks all the boxes (unless you build it yourself :D ) so if this one feels right in most aspects, especially that all-important one, price, bespeak it quickly before someone snaps it up or you'll spend a lot of time regretting it. (I speak from experience.) You can do the odd jobs as and when you feel like it/can afford it - a house is like the Forth Bridge, fast as you think it's all done, you have to start on something else, it will never be absolutely perfect. And when you find a reliable handyman, hang on to him, feed him coffee regularly, slip a choccy biccy by the mug, tell him he's wonderful, you don't know how you would manage without him - you know the script!
What's choccy biccy?
I decided against the house. I still think it was a great deal which is why I was probably trying to talk myself into it but it just wasn't "speaking" to me
Papaya: be patient. you'll know it when you find the right house. I can't tell you how many houses my husband and I looked at before we bought the one we are in now. There's one out there with your name on it!!
Chocolate biscuits.... and the feeding advice does appply to anyone, my sister has a friend who is a whiz at fixining computers .... and all you have to do is feed him, ( preferably somthing arabic-ish) I once almost convinced him to drive me on a 2 hour trip..for petrol money and mousakka but my sister made me stop brining her friends to do me favours.
Hummm well look for a house that screams home Im YOUR new home  :DQuote:

Thanks guys, I'm going to keep looking. Although I maybe having doubts about buying a house again. :goof: :brickwall
I went house hunting again today. There were two cute ones, one is a major contender and two not so good, and I'm looking at one more on monday.
(was it just yesterday I was thinking of giving up the hunt??)
Good Hunting!
Ya know what annoys me? My favorite house from yesterday was very clean and very cutely decorated (that's not the annoying part). The current owner is one of those "craftsy" people and she's got all these neat ideas littered about the house. The CO took an old sewing machine stand and put a glass top on it and viola a cute table. If I do decide to buy this house there is no way I could make it as cute as it is now (that's the annoying part)...
oh Im sure you can think of something somwhere around here someone posted how to create a' secret room' you know one of those bookcases that swings out and turns out to really be a door? it was either Stan or kilted but I cant rember where, you could get one of those  :D
BINGO! it stan pg 255 of random thought of the day and the linky...

But you would want the house to reflect you and your tastes, not those of the previous owner. You would come up with ideas for your home that would seem innovative to anyone visiting you and have them going away thinking 'I wish I could make a home like papayahed'!
