Ma alla fine, non direi che l'italiano sia stato la mia lingua madre. Può darsi che lo era, e mio padre mi parlava ogni tanto in italiano quand'ero piccola (nonostante questo fosse, per la maggior parte, un italiano dialettale misto col croato - molti anni dopo mi ha detto che aveva paura che io non riuscissi a capire se mi parlasse in un italiano 'puro' :D), ma per anni parlavo un italiano insecuro e pieno di sbagli d'ogni genere... L'ho studiato nelle alcune delle scuole che frequentavo, come una lingua straniera, così ne ho imparato le fondamenti prima di essermi trasferita in Italia, ove ho visto che, alla fine, sempre sapevo poco. :D
