I am a teacher of literature in English in Nigeria. The subject is now considered a dying Subject. In the state I teach, over 200 students may not graduate from the English Depatment off the College of Education this year. This portends a great danger for careers like Law, Mass Comm.,Theatre Arts and English Language which require a credit in Literature as a prerequisite.
