Unreadable. Had to forget it after 30 pages. Anyone know what the hell he was on about? I get the feeling that such high brow fiction is created out of ego. 'Look how clever I am. Look at how confusing I can be."

Thus Spake Zarathustra is a wonderful and fascinating book. It's not easy to read, and it's of course questionable. I don't agree with this book, but it's a noble book. It's a book of yearning, therefore a book loved by younger people. You shouldn't take things like the superman not too seriously. In Nietzsches desire for the superman it's not said that Nietzsche desires for a human being with extraordinary abilities. If you think so, you would get him completely wrong. His yearning for the superman is something completely different, it's a yearning for a world of a new human being, and therefore a world of complete freedom of expression. I don't believe that, but by creating that Nietzsche had given a wonderful expression of this yearning and his book is highly poetic.

It's not the easiest book in the world, maybe it's just not for you and you don't know Nietzsche's work or method for thinking? Rather than being condescending to one of the most influential and important philosophers of the modern era. Because, to be honest, if you try that you'll just come across as profoundly ignorant.

If you actually want to understand it and enjoy it, you'll need to do some homework - and read up on Existentialist thought and the poetic symbol of mountains that Nietzsche is using and alluding to, and the Romanticism that his work should be contextualised with.
