Leeds to Kings Cross train

Abandoned my book
to stare out of the window
from Doncaster until I don’t know where.
The conveyor belt of flat green fields
slid by and by
and by
and by, beneath
a Tupperware sky.

Concise but still evocative. There is poetry in every train journey. None in a car journey bus or coach but trains remain.
