Hi,
Can the letter 'v' be yonic imagery.
In Sexton's 'Loving the Killer', there's a lot of v's.
The sound that the letter V gives, what's the significance of that?

No one seems to have responded. Perhaps no one was sure what you were asking. In the Gaelic alphabet we have no need of the letter v. I am uncertain just now if Pictish/ Ogham had that shape. Of course we have the sound in Gaelic.

Well Ogham had lines that looked like the letter v on its side. I don't think Ogham has yielded up its secrets

Here's a question for you Eiseabhal. What bastardised Ghaidhlig could RLS have been referring to in "Kidnapped" when he has a character use the word "nainsel". I can think of little that even the deafest of deaf Lowlanders could have turned into that.

I think it is a bastardisation of "mi fhein is ...."
