The Summer before the Dark

Hello everyone!

Earlier this year I read 'The Summer before the Dark' by Doris Lessing. I must tell you that I didn't like it in the least. The dream about the seal was such a drag!! And all those pages dealing with illness, and the people who were ill didn't do anything about it! They didn't go to doctors and were worse every day!! And what was the point of all those pages? I was utterly disappointed.

what did you make of the title?
a bit tedious thought i agree
self analysis after a while drags the eternal novelty of reading
there are much better topics to tackle then to self expose and self speculate

To tell you the truth I made nothing of the title. What did you make of it?
