Inspiration undoubtedly from George Orwell’s Nineteen Eight-Four.
Prologue
An International law was agreed upon and passed at a G8 summit meeting in the summer of 2085, London. And a worldwide act was also agreed with all other large industrialised nations to completely destroy all known firearms in existence and to cease any further production.
Along with any nuclear weapons, machinery, and vehicles.
All military enforcement was abolished worldwide.
Another law was passed in the same year to terminate all convicts around the world, and the mass genocide was completed by 2092. Around 20 million men and women were culled.
A final law, also passed in 2085, was the immediate termination of an individual or group known to commit any of the following crimes: Aiding & Abetting / Accessory, Assault / Battery, Drug Possession, Burglary, Theft / Larceny, Murder and any other international crimes against humanity.
All of these new laws were agreed, passed and then actioned at a huge risk to each nations economic stability and livelihood. But it was the right decision.
A worldwide collective governmental movement was established dubbed the ‘twenty85’ which encouraged and nurtured peace, prosperity, order, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Many lives were lost, there were huge pubic demonstrates and protests against the ‘twenty85’ movement.
Life as we knew it would never be the same again.
However, over the next 15 years Crimes against International laws, crimes against humanity, crimes against peace, international criminal law, War crimes, drug and arms trafficking, money laundering, smuggling, and any other transnational crimes were heavily reduced, and almost became unheard of and ineffective.
Move on to the turn of the 22nd century and humanity is thriving.

Although there did happen to be a young master thief known simply as ‘The Blanket’ who enters one of the world’s most prestigious art museums posing as the celebrated artist C. W. Rieu.
‘The Blanket’ has managed to fool security by arriving at the museums entrance gates driving the world famous car, made personalised and unique by C. W. Rieu.
‘The Blanket’ has stolen the car.
C. W. Rieu, also known simply as ‘Rieu’ or ‘The invisible creator’ has never made a public appearance, hence the reason why the security at the museum are fooled, and simply allow the individual driving the well-known car into the museum.
Once inside the museum ‘The blanket’ posing as ‘Rieu’ asks to be left alone so he can look over one of 'his' art pieces being displayed in the museum. He has only one intention – to steal the piece.
The piece of art is known as the ‘12 bullets of life’ a medium sized sculptor commemorating the entire illegalisation and destruction of firearms around the world inspired by the ‘twenty85’ movement.
The sculptor is an irregular entanglement of various materials in the style, design and shape of Earth - although presumptuous and open to interpretation. Inside the coiled wirings and particle amalgamations - any individual standing within 1 metre of the piece of art can clearly see there is a handheld gun woven into the centre of the sculptor along with 12 bullets located in and around the sculptor itself.
‘The blanket’ or ‘Rieu’ as he is deemed to be, removes the sculptor and vacates the museum immediately.
Some 12 hours later the local authorities report that a certain C. W. Rieu has claimed that his infamous car has been stolen, and so too the ’12 bullets of life’ by the looks of things.
All is not what it seems…
…And for the first time in many years, a human clutches at the handle of a gun…
…ready to pull the trigger.
