View Full Version : Knight and Fairies
It is night
Stars are shining bright
Hills and trees sleep tight
The scent of youth-and-old-age
Spreads on the stage
Asking not for wage
A silent knight
Walks under the moonolight
Fields and trees are within his sight
Merry fairies laugh and dance
Chasing each other in a trance
Seen only by chance
Birds sing
Sunrays swing
He dances alone
In a day's tone
A fairy hidden watches
Is he drunk with scotches
What a funny knight
But yet so bright

Nice set of poems on the theme of knights and fairies. I usually think of knights associated with dragons and damsels, but fairies work as well. I liked how the fairies are seen only by chance.

Thanks, YesNo. I like fairy tales. I always imagine fairies as beautiful young women singing and dancing and being happy all the time in an amazing nature surrounding, dressed in transparent clothes, with long hair. So, I thought, maybe the character of a lonely knight might suit them. :)
